It's the only Hodir daily I'll still do after being exalted with them because damn do they have some annoying dailies.

Also doesn't hurt that it's worth more gold than most dailies.

I never did that dailiy because too many people complained about it I thought it was best to skip it

They said they were going to make fishing fun! and fast! I don't mind the way it is now with the quests and other things just leveling it is a pain in the ass

those people are the silliest of geese. Go do it now, even if only once, just so you know for yourself whether it should've been skipped (and if I recall, it gives more rep than most of the others). My favorite daily by far.

Seriously, that was a fun daily. You grab on to a pissed of protodrake and fly all the hell over Storm Peaks dodging it's claws and stabbing at it. Then it dies and you ride the body to the ground. Its a little easier if you can shield yourself and throw on some HoTs right at the beginning, but it's not too bad.

Seriously, you might screw it up once or twice figuring out how it works, but how can you not love a quest where the instructions are: "Here's a spear, go kill a dragon. You'll probably have to use your bare hands to finish it."

(OK, yes, doing it everyday for a year may cause you not to love it :P)

doing it in tank gear was the best.

i don't know if they've fixed it yet but it did physical damage reduced by armour, rather than a percentage of HP, so tanks had it so easy.

I died a couple times because I'd kill the protodrake, safely fall down to the mountain, and then slide off the mountain.

Other than that, I found it pretty easy.

I think it still works that way. Was doing it on my warrior and getting hit for (I think) 700ish? which would be like 2% of my health, which seems kinda low for a % based thing.

Yep thats about what I remember being hit for. Maybe a little more since I was in Naxx/Maly gear prior to Ulduar the last time I did that daily.

Contrast that to doing it on my mage and I was being hit for nearly 2k. When you only have 15k health, thats a very small margin of error.

    So uh

    http://www.wow.com/2010/09/15/cataclysm-beta-guild-ranks-can-be-set-to-require-authenticator/

I like this change and hope it makes it to live. I do not like the inevitable hissy fits it will cause.

There always seems to be 1 officer or banker that thinks having an authenticator somehow makes them a mouth-breather incapable of basic computer security (i.e not clicking those punch the gnome to win an epic mount flash ads).

I think we actually had 1 gquit over it.

If my guild did this I'd just ask people with access to grab stuff for me, doesn't seem like a big enough deal to stop playing with fun people over unless you're already not super fond of your guild.

The change is requiring authenticators for certain ranks. We had already been doing this via the fun, "show me your core hound" method. I think when we started requiring it for officer/banker status it was just the last straw for a certain officer who was easy to upset.

I think its a silly reason to leave as well, its just for some reason there is a certain highly vocal minority of the playerbase, that gets all frouthy mouth rabid about authenticators.

Its a non issue with us that have been with the same core group of people since Vanilla. Most of them have my cell phone number so authenticator access is just a bonus for any we try to recruit for cata.

MMO-champ has a calculator for older emblems-->gold and random pvp stuff-->new honor points.

Halaa tokens appear to NOT be included.

    Also, the blue post says:
Your Justice Points total will be equal to (Emblems of Triumph + Emblems of Frost ) * 2.75

Also, the softcap is going to be 4000 Points for both kinds (Honor and Justice).

Would it actually be worth farming badges now in preparation for launch, or is it going to be like "grind Wrath badges for 200 hours to get 2 entry level Cata epics?" Because I'm not doing that.

If you like how T10 looks. That's the only reason I could give you. I'm not sure if it's worth grinding for. Also, it won't matter if prices stay just like they are. You'd have to run some instances at least 300 times to get an epic.

You want me to power through all 3 tiers of gear just to be allowed to stand up to you on DPS because I didn't start raiding immediately, or I was working weird hours through the first tier of content? Or because I got burnt out on the 2nd tier, I don't deserve the third?

I say keep it how it is: Normal and "heroic", and the final tier is all badges.

Or hell just make the heroic shit just drop off tokens, and make tokens drop in bigger numbers on heroic.

How would giving 10% of its customer base a different look than the other 90% cause any business detriment to Blizz? And yes they do deserve it because they put in more time. Its pretty simple you want shiny t10hardmode then beat it. With as easy as they are making itemization these days all they would have to do is design a model and increase the 4 stats gear will have now by 10% or so.

Level capping is hardly difficult. I just got a hunter up to 80 and i was watching the TV the majority of the time. IMHO if you put the time in you should get better gear and stuff that looks different than the rest. Sure I could look pretty on my hard mode mount and have a different looking weapon or shield but really? All that really differs is itemlevel. That is all I am saying and I am surprised there is such a negative response to it. For me I would like that option if I were to suddenly find myself with more time it would give me something to work towards.
