Is it because there is an imbalanced merchant system?
Is it because you have to grind your way past the absolutely horrible plot to actually get any worthwhile shit?
Is it because you CANT solo?
Is it because in order to even attempt PvP you need to run through PvE multiple times?
Imbalanced merchant system? Do you even know what you're talking about? Money is useless unless you need flashy items because you can just make a pvp character.
For PvE it takes 6 hours to get to max level, compare that to WoW and that's basically no grind, and in that time you learn the basics of the game, etc.
You can 'solo' certain with the right build. If you want to beat pve you don't need people at all as you can use henchmen.
You don't even need to buy the PvE game to play PvP, so I have no clue what the hell you're talking about. I think you're not even playing the same game.
But this is silly and off topic. Its just that you people were bad at the game and misunderstood your terrible playing for flaws in the game.
Man, I wish I had some screenies from my time in FFXI.
I'd never go back in (much less time than I had back then, and the essential grouping got to me, though I haven't played since Promathia [I think that was the 2nd expansion?]) ..
56 Taru Bard/WHM was my highest. But damn. He was cute.

Can PvP-only characters in GW wear PvE armor sets? At the moment my PvP-only char is just using the standard sets available for you at the beginning :v:
Only screenie I managed to save of my FFXI THF from my dead hard drive:
afaik the only armor for PvP characters is what is open up front. You unlock hilts, runes whatever, not new armor graphics themselves. If you want the purdy armor you have to do PvE which peeves a lot of people off.
Heck, up until the latest version (nightfall?) I was under the impression that everything available to pve characters was also available to pvp characters through pvp points. Spells, hilts and stuff I mean, not armor or weapon graphics.

Arse. So I can't even transfer my PvE stuff to my PvP character eh

Not armor, no. Nor anything else that's been customized for your PVE character. It would be nice to have a system for unlocking armor art in PVP, but at least now PVP chars have a couple art choices and can now change the colors (and runes/insignia) of their armor without recreating the character.

Recently got back into CoH/CoV. Never really played the Villain side, so I'm doing that now. I made a girl. She's an elec/elec Brute:
Her name is Electric Jailbait.
I also have a MasterMind by the name of Dr. Deathface. His zombies are "Jean Claude" and "Van Damme".
I'm liking CoV thus far.

I could play the game fine. It just wasn't any *fun*.
My definition of fun is beating people because I'm better than them.
Ok, noone cares. Clutter up some other thread, please.

My old main villain from CoV, "Edvig Lucrezian."
I also have a blog!
I agree, I find it utterly retarded as well...Especially when you find a decent shot, and you think it would make a decent wallpaper..BUT noooooo
EDIT- All of my PSU characters
And yea, I misspelled Protranser in one of those pics..My bad
Ah, my good ol super novy "Sebutone"

Reserving this space for screenies. I'll put my current CoX ones, and my WoW ones that will be retired today for an extended period of time.
I have some GW ones too but I haven't played that since the first game, when it wasn't even called prophesies, it was just called Guild Wars.
P.S. Those FFXI pics from MJ up there make me want to renew my subscription ><
