Things to do in Portland

Yeah, another of these "Things to do in X" threads. So me and a buddy are driving up to Portland starting tomorrow and we'll be there Friday-Sunday. So what's there to do that's fairly cheap and awesome?
We're going up there for a metal concert on Saturday so I'd like some suggestions on what to do on a Friday afternoon/evening.
Yeah, it must be pretty damn cheap as well since I'm unemployed at the moment (this trip is a birthday present from a friend).

Seriously. Use the Search function. There's gotta be a half dozen of these.

Yeah, I did just a regular search (not advanced) on Portland and got nothing on the first page from H/A.
I did use Advanced Search and got a bunch of info though.
We really should have a sticky in this section for all these types of threads. Just have the stickied thread link to all the other threads so it doesn't get crowded.
This is the best thread regarding general things to do in Portland, and places/landmarks to see. One of Esh's other links has a great restaurant selection, check it out if you be hungry.
My own advice for evening events is don't pay a cover for any place that doesn't have live music.
Hmm, I haven't been here long, so I'm assuming those are strip clubs.
And by assuming, I mean I'm grabbing my coat.
mary's is an institution, I've never actually been there but the burritos next door are amazing.
devils point is where you go to watch suicide-girl-types get naked and light themselves on fire. also stripperaoke.
casa diablo is way out in the middle of nowhere (NW industrial district) but they have tasty vegan food. and the dancers are a little bit more... forward than at other places. if you like that sort of thing. v8-)v

EDIT: At least on the first page...
You obviously did something wrong. Go into advanced, search Portland in Thread Title in H/A. We get a Portland thread every 2-3 weeks.

casa diablo, devil's point, mary's
done.
I'm more of a Magic Garden over Mary's guy. But Mary's does have the burrito place attached to it.

I was set on fire at devils point and woke up with bruises from the ladies there.
