I don't believe there is such a huge difference between the PC and PS3 version (which look almost identical) and the 360 version. It's like they went with an ugly filter over the 360 screens.
The water screenshot is most certainly not from the 360 version, but it really looks great ingame

Maybe they're on PC with a 360 controller hooked up? Would that change the UI?
I hope that's possible, because from what I've seen of the PC version the interface is really bad and unwieldy. You would expect the PC version to have the best interface, but it looks cut and pasted from the console ones and the combat seems to flow and control much better on a gamepad. I guess I'll get it on the Xbox 360.
I want it out now, though, since all the footage makes the crafting and combat look really fun and the world massive. I'd import the PS3 version off GoGamer if I could, since I've imported games from them before, but they only seem to list the US editions of the game.

I somehow doubt that. Have games done that before, ever?
I looked up that question and you can indeed plug in an Xbox 360 controller. It will detect it and change the interface accordingly, which is good because the UI is meant for a gamepad. The mouse and keyboard interface is just bad.
Edit: And yes, lots of games do that now, if not a majority of new PC games.

Combat is ok, if a bit clunky. I imagine the hot swapping on the XBOX makes combat a lot more accessible. While the environments look good, the character models are. . .not bad - but certainly not great either.
Also the voice acting is not great. Again not bad, but not great.
One thing I really dislike is the camera. It has these weird angles that makes it seem like some Michael Bay action sequence when you do something as simple as turn your head; the game is a permanent "tilt" when moving about that seems cool when its first done, but way overused when you're just running down a hill and looking around you.

"You're as good as dead!" .... "You're as good as dead!"
Skip to about 9:10 to see what I mean. The magic system is really impressive though.
Great stuff. There's even goodness less than 30 seconds in.
Line: "I lost my sweet Balin, you see..."
Delivery: "I lost my sweet Balin......you see?"
On a tangential note, I wish more games would let you hold down a button to match a quest NPC's pace/direction a la Red Dead Redemption. It's quite immersion-breaking to stand still until they're 5 steps ahead of you, then sprint for 2 seconds to catch up, then repeat.

I tried playing the first one again the other day, and I remembered why I had stopped. I can't find a horse anywhere, and my nearest objective for the main quest is blocked by a gate with nothing suggesting how to get around it. All my other objectives are at least a 10 minute run to get to them.
There are four reviews. All from European reviewers. Mainly because its not out for NA audiences til January. Here's a link to the metacritic page. That's some pretty decent scores, despite coming from places I've not heard of. I'll wait on eurogamer and the normal crowd of reviewers to get on this before making a final decision on whether it interests me enough to warrant a purchase.

Oooooh, he ripped on ME2 and Fallout 3 in the first few minutes. People won't like that, I'm sure.

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
I don't know, the game looks pretty good from that video. It has flaws, yeah, but it's nothing I can't ignore so I'll probably pick this up when it's released.
I have to say, it is 10 times better than the first one. If you like the genre, then you will like this game. Figgy, stop hating on a game you have barely even seen.

Can you compare it to Divinity II, if you have played that? I'm playing that right now and it's ok, just lacking some serious polish. Difficulty Spikes, looooooooong saves, looooooooong health/mana regen times and such.

So, this isn't out in the U.S. until January, but can it seems like I can purchase the European version from their shop. Anyone tried doing this? Wondering if I'll run into any problems trying to run it.

If you're ordering it for the PS3 or PC, then it will be fine. PS3 games are region free and the PC is, well, the PC. I've imported Gothic 2 and 3 on PC several months before they ever came out in the US. You shouldn't have a problem.

I want it to be good, I'm just saying don't go apeshit because you're seeing 9+ reviews over in Europe. The first one also got 9+ reviews over in Europe.
This is in reaction mostly to the sentiment a few pages back of "HOLY SHIT IT'S GETTING GREAT REVIEWS IT'S GONNA BE GREAT!"
I'm not gonna count my chickens. I'd like to, but it's gonna take some magic to come back from the original.

There is no such thing as region coded pc games unless its something like an mmo. So you really don't need to worry about that.
Oooooh, he ripped on ME2 and Fallout 3 in the first few minutes. People won't like that, I'm sure.
He ripped on the main stories, saying they weren't that good in those games... which has merit I think. Both were fantastic games, but the main story wasn't the best part of them.
Regarding the rest of the review, it's hard to judge because the guy wasn't really showing the game in action most of the time... he was just showing himself standing around, or running in a circle or talking with an NPC. He's going on about how quests are fun and such, and even gives a verbal example... but it would've been nice to actually see it in action a bit.
As well, the combat he showed was extremely limited, and only included one character fighting a few zombies with a sword. From that brief clip the animations looked godawful, but in the previous video on the last page, the polearm fighting looked pretty rad, as did the magic that involved dropping boulders on enemies, especially because the boulders actually stuck around after the spell finished.
I give that review a 4/10.
Specific to the game, I'm cautiously excited. I only played the demo of the first one, and that was enough for me to know it wasn't any good. Turned out I was right, and I saved myself some money! In this case, I'm also likely to wait for reviews and if there's something really compelling about the game I'll get it for the PC... otherwise I might Gamefly it for the 360.

I haven't played it yet but I have friends that have. After watching them play and listening to what they think about it, it is pretty much on par with the 1st one. Except, that they improved upon everything so much so that it is actually a good game now. If you can stomach Divinity 2, then you will actually have fun with this one.
My friend got this early, and damn. He has a bug wherein he cannot cross a certain bridge without the game totally freezing on him. considering this bridge leads to the first main town, bad times. Other than that, it looks infinitely better than the first one. And I loved the first one so huzzah!

I ate the entire cake. At one point, I remember becoming aware of the oppressive fullness building inside of me, but I kept eating out of a combination of spite and stubbornness. No one could tell me not to eat an entire cake - not my mom, not Santa, not God - no one. I would eat cake whenever I damn well pleased. It was my cake and everyone else could go fuck themselves.
It does look great. Not sure that killing some otriches is a very interesting quest for a fantasy RPG, but the gameplay/combat/animations/interface all look solid IMO.

But the water screenshot has the 360 buttons on the interface. LIES!
Oh I didn't see that. It's a player screenshot from GAF though so it's quite possibly real!
e: http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=twoworlds22010-11-1213f5xd.jpg another one. Guess that settles the debate over the graphical quality of the 360 version.

Also, is the co-op just for certain game modes? It's not like you can play through the game with friends right?

Can we stop getting a boner every time a European game reviewer gives a shitty game a 95?
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
