When I picked this up last night from Wal Mart, there was one copy left. ONE. Which means they sold through an entire two racks of the game, the associate told me.
I didn't know this game was that big of a deal. Or, Wal Mart ordered two copies, and someone was drunk and trying to buy Dead Space 2.

Same thing for me, Wal Mart had only one copy. Gamestop I think had zero.
This game is really fun so far, its just rather inconsistent. Some of the weapon animations are really good and stylish, the game seems to want to show them off... so you get these camera view changes that would seem to do so, but all they really accomplish is fucking up what I was doing and making me take extra damage. Like if an enemy is down my guy wants to do some fancy down-ward stabbing stuff, but it never connects and almost anything I do melee to a downed enemy does no damage.
There is a ton to do in the game and its much better than the first one.... just some bugs here and there with the combat that can be annoying.
There's a weird bug with the reputation system too, the one that gets the guards chasing after you. I was kicking chickens in town because you get eggs from them and it was increasing my bad rep but the bloody sword meter that shows what your rep is wasn't showing up. So suddenly I was wanted by the guards and they tore me apart.
edit: Big spell tip! Forget using missle carrier cards, use enchant cards with a damage modifier and an element and the damage goes right to the enemy rather then having to travel to them.
According to CAG, Kmart is selling TW2 this week for PS3 and 360 for $40.
I think I'll be taking advantage of that myself.
You can get that price online at their site too. No reason to actually go into their disease ridden stores!
I like going into K-Mart. Most of the stuff is just laying on the floor and you can really get whatever price you want, because half the crap isn't even tagged.
Plus, the roving undead make shopping a challenge.
Jim Sterling just gave this game an 8.0 on Destructoid. The same Jim Sterling who gave Assassin's Creed 2 a 4.0.
I might have to play this game now.
He gave AC2 a 4.0? How? I thought it was pretty good.
I might rent this, but only because I heard of its over the topness and bad voice acting.
It's not that bad. It's just not good. Most of the actors do the best with what they're given and the acting is very servicable. And there's no real over the top that I've seen.

Yeah, maybe I'm desensitized by years of eastern European games, but I didn't find the VA particularly ear-raping. It wasn't especially good, but I could tell they were at least trying.
Just tell me the main character says "verily" at least once.
How many of you got this for 360? I had the original, and when co-op wasn't a laggy mess of shit, it was pretty fun. I'd be interested in doing some more co-op but with a stable game.

You and Jim Sterling are completely full of it. It was an excellent game.

What the hell are you going on about? We're talking about voice acting in TW2 not AC2.

I read it like you were referring to AC2, apologies then.

Yeah, I thought he was talking about AC2 for a couple seconds, getting confused, and then I figured he was talking about TW2.

I went to a K-mart today... no diseases, but no Two Worlds Two either because it was the full $60. They told me they won't match the price of kmart.com. It's possible the employee didn't know the policies, or he was really stupid, so your mileage may vary.
A question for those of you who have played the game;
What is in there that necessitated tying it to the rotting fish that was the first Two Worlds and not simply making it a different title altogether?
Yeah, I dunno. You'd think brand identity would work against you in a situation like this, but I suppose they figured having a recognizable name would be beneficial. I've never played Two Worlds, but apparently this game is a direct sequel and you play as the main character from the first.
This game is surprisingly fun. As long as you realize that it's a small budget game and set your expectations accordingly. I'm enjoying it a lot thus far.

I may have to take a look at this, then. I'm still trying to shed the emotional scars from the first game, so the name is a pretty big turnoff.

It's just so damn deep. It scratches my loot whore itch as there's just so much damn loot you're always getting new shit. There's crafting. Spell crafting. I'm just blown away by the options and it's all wrapped together in a skill up system kinda like UO. Also, the main character is a psychotic badass.
I actually really like the premise too. The main bad guy is actually trying to stop a demon from breaking out of your sisters body and destroying the world. It's a cool twist on the old save the princess formula.

Nothing about this game seems small budget to me. It easily exceeded my expectations and I was pretty excited about it after seeing the gameplay videos.

Not quite, he's trapping him in her to drain his power to try to take over the world himself.
One aspect that irks me about Two Worlds 2 is the mage abilities, which are rather fun, but the need to use a staff in order to use them seems rather unneccessary. The result is that you can only really use magic for so long before you're forced to swap to melee because the enemy runs up to you, and the swap time is too long to be effective. Similarly it's far to difficult to defend yourself on staff alone, so being a pure mage class is impossible.

That's like saying requiring a sword to slash is unnecessary. And I've been doing the swap to melee when enemies get close and it only takes a second.
That is, until I levelled my summon spell. Use summons to block and mage classes are ridiculously overpowered; moreso then they already are.

That says test drive unlimited 2 is for a nifty £24.99
Tonight, though, it's bad-voice-acted-questing time.
Pfft. You wish you could deliver a clap with that much effect.
I have had and taken many opportunities of the golf clap. I am a golf clap pro.
Don't even doubt me.
I'll golf clap your ass.

No, you can definitely pick it up again, you just have to be a bit away from it, so that the 'X' action is no longer 'Teleport'.

That one guard who cant say 'Chezznadaar' or whatever, I cracked up.
I'm so tired of monotone McGruffBeard as a main character though.
He's just AWFUL.
However, I do like how everyone mistakes him for a woman and he reacts with "I'll take that as a compliment."

They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
