I made a thread recently about using my Iphone as an Ipod now I've moved to another country but now I'm thinking if I can I would quite like to use it as a phone again. The only problem is I'm pretty sure the provider I bought it from in the UK, O2 have locked it to only work with them. When I took it to telicom NZ to enquire about this they were less than helpful only telling me they can't unlock it.
Basically my question is can I buy a new sim card to work for it in New Zealand? How can I get it unlocked?
Also I know that unlocking the phone will void the warrenty but I don't care since I already voided the warrenty when I jail broke it.
