The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I was going to post this in Critical Failures, but they all seem so professional and business-like in there and this forum is mildly relevant to my issue. Ever since I've moved away from home, I have been unable to play D&D, since my group lives nowhere near me (and to be honest, they were not a very good RP group).
Does anybody around here attend the university and perhaps play 4th edition? Or if you don't, do you have any good ideas where I could find players? At the least, do you perhaps have some suggestions for finding those that do play?
Thanks in advance, kind forum.

Check in with your student union. I would be surprised if there wasn't a gaming or other club that could give you some leads on groups.
Also, there should be a website filled with student groups. My friend started a MtG group and a LAN party group. I'd rest assured that there are more than a few PnP groups as well. Check the main UW-Madison page and search around.

That's basically it. Your student union will probably have a catalog of clubs and such, and if they don't they can probably point you to it. If you find that there isn't such a thing, don't be afraid to start one! You'd be surprised how many people out there miss their D&D groups terribly when they go off to college.
