So I clearly misunderstood what Assassins bring to the table. Last night, I educated myself and came up as the top earner for 2 matches.
No shields + Assassin + Juice = win
Twice I got front grappled by another assassin while attacking the moneyball AS i got juice. Just start swinging like crazy and murder everybody while I end the game.
i must be doing somethign wrong. i almost never get enough juice to get all juiced up
also gave support a whirl and actually earned a good chunk of change even though i killed like 2 people
Murder bots, snag juice power-ups, and be a generally shifty bastard. Remember, pulling back is not weakness, it's preserving your current juice investments.

This must have been what my problem was. I have my Regional Settings set to Japanese. After downloading this patch yesterday, I can actually get into the game and was able to run through the training course.
Though when I tried to join a server, the game crashed anyway, haha. I'm in no rush to play since I've already played so much on 360, but good to see them making progress.

So I just ran into some hackers spread out across multiple different servers all using the [UBER] tag
And I don't mean that they were really good and I'm bitter so I'm calling them hackers
I mean they were all snipers who got seven kills in as many seconds and headshotted people instantly from across the map by aiming faster than is humanly possible
First of all, fuck those guys
Second of all, this game is still in beta, what the hell hackers, can't you wait until the game's release first
Thirdly, they are besmirching the fine name of the developers what made this game. That shit ain't right

Yeah I encountered them as well tonight. [UBER]Scathis and [UBER]Ekanaut, pretending to be the devs, calling people idiots and denying hacking stating they are devs and testing features, speed hacking and aim-botting, headshotting people from across the map the instant we leave the spawning area.
I initially blew them off because they joined a game that was almost over already, then I went to another server, had a great game going, lots of push and pull... our team was winning and they showed up again, the sniper got 30 kills with no deaths in less than 2 minutes, our team couldn't even leave the spawning room. Ruined a perfectly good game.
I went to Uber's forums and there is already a thread to report hackers and aimbotters, I'm sure Uber will take care of it and put a system in place to prevent this. I mean... I would rather deal with this NOW when the game is still in Beta and exploits, etc are kind of expected, than have it happen to the game when it officially gets released for PC. Best thing to do when you encounter one is to write down their name and steam ID and report them on the forums.
Yeah... after posting this morning I found I had a bee in my bonnet, so I spent all day working on the problem. There will be some useful new features for server admins in the next patch. Details to be announced
Any tips as a assassin, I tried a couple of rounds, guess I don't cloak enough?
Assassin is kind of hard to play at first because your first instinct will be to go around and grappling dudes. I don't know if you've read the advice from others, but your first priority is farming bots. Bots give you gold and juice, both which are good.
My Endorsements are apparently the standard:
Gold/Armor - Really huge since she is one of the squishiest classes in the game, and will often save your butt a lot.
Silver/Rate of Fire - Faster slashiness makes you overall a more effective killer.
Bronze/Either Health Regeneration or Skill Recovery - Both self-explanatory, run with what you feel will benefit you the most.
My skill priorities are as followed - Passive>Cloak>Smoke Bomb>Sprint
I buy a passive right off the bat because the sooner you work your way to the Katana the better, as that is where a lot of the Assassin's DPS comes in. Plus the Shruiken damage increase isn't half bad. Then I buy a level 2 Cloak, because it lasts longer and Turrets can no longer spot you.
From then on I get Level 3 Passive, Level 2 Smoke Bomb, Level 3 Cloak, Level 3 Smoke Bomb, and the other two Sprints.
Use R to dash around rapidly when you have your dagger/katana out, and get used to using it for an opener to soften them up before you grapple - just in case. If I dash attack and then grapple from the front, they will have a small sliver of health, which I then jump around madly and slash as they feebly try to slam/charge/grapple at me.
Turrets and bots, as I've said before, are your main priority. Farm those when you can; your smoke bomb can temporarily disable turrets so I use it at the start of matches to ninja kill their level 1 Rockets while they don't have a clue. If they don't catch on I'm usually full on juice so I smash through any defenses remaining and go attack the enemy Pros themselves, whom probably don't expect such an early Juice and are wiped out quickly.
Jackbots are great but if you have the Katana I actually find it kills them faster if you slash wildly at their backsides while avoiding their ground slams. Plus it gives you lots of juice. Attack pros if you see openings and are confident in your ability to kill them and get away.
I'm still a noob but I've gotten positive KDRs in the majority of my games following all of that.
1. Since this is a beta, how do I report bugs? I played a beta for another game that had a bug report form right there on the main menu. It was quite nice.
2. Switching from Support to Tank really improved my performance. Charge->Death Blossom is a neat trick.
Is anybody else noticing a sudden rise in Juicings? I played a game where an assault attacked out base 3 times and was juiced each time. This was not in Overtime.

He probably had Gold Juice Endorsement and was buying juice or wrecking bots fast.
Assassin seems cool. I get juice really quickly when killing bots, but those red nametags are so tempting. I'm sure I'll be much better once I stop pressing E (smoke bomb) when I want R (lunge).
P.S. Do pro-tags change my pro's performance in any way? I get the impression they are for bragging rights and using up money after unlocking all custom classes, but I'd like to be sure.
Killing a pro strategically can be useful. Mostly when they are watching the bots and making your slasha-slasha too tough to do. Or when a particularly annoying assault is making your life hell. Just don't hit him in the face.

Picked this up on steam the other day, was having tons of fun until on 4 separate occasions I ran into aim botters. One guy came in like 10 minutes in and racked up 48 kills and 0 deaths and was able to throw his flak like 50 yards which I didnt think was possible. Basically that shit needs to get cleaned up before I head back in which is a shame cus its a really fun game.

Speaking of Tanks, I just played against a Tank who would stay far back and use the Railgun. He was a good shot, so the damage added up fast. i was surprised by the tactic's effectiveness.
So this game is crashing whenever I try and join a game. Has this happened to anyone else?
I really want this game to not crash as from the outside it seems pretty aces.
This game was great when it launched. Now? Sucks ass.
Annoying, when it was good, it was my favourite Friady-night game.
Sometimes, umpteen updates with good intentions break a game. A shame.
What specific changes are "broken"?
This game is still excellent at least thats my opinion of it. I rebought this on Steam and convinced all my friends to buy it, so far they all love it. The new arena adds variety and aside from a few bugs I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Tell me about it. They're my least favorite class to play against, next to Support. I main Assassin.

Basically as an assault I hover so they cant stealth/grapple and light them up. When Im out of hover they get a charge.
Generally when I hover they just follow you blindly... its silly. Any other tactics I should use?
Sniper, place ice traps where the assassins typically run through, then fall back and wait to snipe their frozen heads.
Always have a bomb out.
2. Switching from Support to Tank really improved my performance. Charge->Death Blossom is a neat trick.
if you see an assassin coming make sure you back away rather than run away
also i have seen an increase in my level of juice lately. I seem to be getting more but i started playing a lot differently in terms of rush's etc
Use this form.

Pretty sure he's referring to the 360 version
Just don't find it fun anymore, too close to a twitch-shooter these days.
Same reason I don't like CoD / rarely play Halo. Too frustrating.
