Hiding specific subforums

Is there some way to extend the category hide function to subforums? There are a few subforums I never visit, and it would make stumbling around the ones I do simpler.

I know vB is an unwieldy beast to modify and then remodify on each update, so I understand if it's not feasible.

    Not quite the same, but you can subscribe to whatever forums your frequent and then use the User Panel instead of than the forum front page.
