Speaking of the Battle of the Citadel, I'm still confused about how Sovereign and the Geth Fleet caught them by surprise.
I know Saren and his Geth forces got into the Citadel through the Relay on Ilos which led directly into the Praesidium, but Sovereign still had to go through ordinary space-based Mass Effect Relays, didn't he? Doesn't that mean he had to make, like, five or six Relay jumps to reach the Citadel?
The Council said they stationed fleets at all the Relays leading to the Citadel, so why didn't one of those intercept Sovereign before he made it to the Citadel Relay, or at least send out an emergency alert to the entire Council Navy that there's a massive Geth fleet inbound?

A reaper attacking the citadel is pretty big evidence, just that the council is dumb and also stupid
but anyway in ME3 Shepard is going to finally start recording on the omni-tool, right
right
Thing is that "Reaper" was just a Geth Dreadnought.
That humanoid robot in the Collector base...
Obviously, Saren's charisma was so great that the Geth decided to build a monument to organics. And what better a blueprint than of the one who slaughtered thousands of them.
And the one stray runtime managed to beat it's way to the top to give it three eyes.
It's also really sad I could see the Council using that as a way to brush off a Reaper made from people squezins' and old space trash. I really think that's the true value of the Collector Base, you kidnap the entire council and drag them out there to see the damn thing with their own eyes. And then if that Turian disagrees you kick him into a black hole.
Turian Councilor: "Amazing. I cannot believe that Saren's charisma built such an impressive structure."

They probably annihilated every fleet they came across
I know it's a videogame, so there's not going to be a lot of room for philosophizing on the meaning of life and death, but god damn, being reincarnated after 2 years must (or should) be something worth mulling over for more than a few minutes.

Sovereign could probably do that
Either that or the Reaper IFF enables some 'Space Magic' in the Relays when triggered by an actual Reaper. But Sovereign likely just bulldozed his way through the perimeter fleets in such short order no real warning was sent out.
I totally understand why Bioware doesn't want to have any scenes where Shepard spirals into an existential crisis considering the implications of what it means that she was dead. It would be jarring since Shepard is for the most part a blank slate.
But if dealing with the implications of that event is outside the scope of the narrative, maybe that event shouldn't have occurred...?

Couldn't they take relays that were not in Citadel space?

You're forgetting that Shepard didn't really die. He got picked up by the Heart of Gold after the title credits rolled and went on hilariously improbable adventures with the president of the galaxy for a year or so before he got hit by a car and shipped off to a volus charity hospital. Liara hijacked his space ambulance in a fit of paranoia and the rest is history.
Joker getting mortally wounded on a planet with limited medical supplies and an abundance of YMIR mechs was one of the things I was holding out for in ME2. Dr. Chakwas can either let him die, or...
I really hope they just handwave it this time. It'd be lame to kill Shepard off and destroy the Normandy again for that. :?
i'm guessing shep'll find another artifact or something - possibly related to the leviathan of dis - will wind up in an alien cocoon of sorts, and then will come out

"Actually, I totally can believe it. We turians are awesome."
I really hope they add some type of second squad mechanic to the missions in ME3 just so I can set Garrus as it's leader and then we can fistbump at how awesome we are.
if that happens i will personally lead the lynch mob to bioware headquarters
I'm almost positive they'll just start us off at either level 30 or whatever level the imported character is, and let us go up to 60, as in the first game. Why else make the ME2 level cap at 30?

But... what will they give us as skills from level 30?
Maybe:
Actual Singularity: Sucks surrounding matter into a black hole.
Allows the adept to win the game by black holing all the reapers. Soldier has to cry as the Reapers nom the universe.

The vastly minimized number of skills? Maybe?
Maybe the skill trees will expand?
I mean even two trees would be enough points to account for levels 31-50.

Also I believe they said something specifically along those lines back during the prepress for ME2.
Illusive man will probably shut off your implants in order to threaten you or get you to fall in line or something, and OOPS, all your powers are gone.

does it really count as "minimised" if each skill is made an integral part of a playstyle though
i'm not sure i'd say that if they added a bunch of useless skills for no reason that they had "maximised" it

I'm hoping they'll give you a more controllable charge in the future. One that you can aim and stop at will.

I'd like to be able to charge without having to lock onto an enemy first. Why can Vasir do it but Shepard can't?

Then the STG will stuff his brain into a YMIR mech.
Every dialogue option will have an interrupt consisting of being a big damned YMIR mech.

Unless all those people are dead. Then you get a game over screen as soon as you start the game.

you can just do it willy nilly and it recharges your shields and by the time you are going to get hurt you just charge again, sawooop
until then it's a bitch, I'll grant that
Gamertag: PrimusD | Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
as long as there are enemies that you can charge and not get bugged out, you're not going to die
unless you charge at a healthy krogan with no shotgun ammo or somethin
Taking away Charge. That would be terrible.
It's gonna be amnesia.
