I'd like to be able to charge without having to lock onto an enemy first. Why can Vasir do it but Shepard can't?
Probably because it would be a geometrical nightmare to program.
@Orca: Not really. Being able to instantly change your position would add a pretty good layer to combat.
Like I'm saying, the only reason you probably can't do it is because of how much of a pain it would be to program.
Being able to instantly change your position would negate the need for the shield boost though; again, leading to more defensive play.
Implementing it would be easy: heck, you could use the same pathfinding code your allies have for whether it's a valid area to go to. You can already target points by directing allies there; same thing here. You'd just teleport there.
The problem is that it would encourage people to jump around defensively. Forcing you to target a hostile means you have to work offensively. Dudes rushing your position? You can fall back or CHARGE INTO THEIR FACES. Whereas with targeted charge, you have the option of falling back instantly and recharging your shields. That throws the high risk/high reward out the window.

What if there was an added reward/penalty to charging? Every time you hit an enemy your cool down is instantly recharged; failure to do so forces you to wait six seconds.
I think the high-risk/high-reward sort of gets thrown out the window once you get heavy charge and max power cooldown reduction
you can just do it willy nilly and it recharges your shields and by the time you are going to get hurt you just charge again, sawooop
until then it's a bitch, I'll grant that
granted we gamers who play (nothing but) Mass Effect 2 are really, really good at the game.
christina norman is the lead gameplay designer, and she says she still dies a TON on insanity
any gameplay tweaks they make have to take into account the entire playerbase, not just those of us who are Vangods. Insanity has to be accessible to the determined, not impossible/relying solely on luck.
to sum up: no vanguard nerf is likely

Illusive man will probably shut off your implants in order to threaten you or get you to fall in line or something, and OOPS, all your powers are gone.
Either that or some Reaper agent will give you a big Pile O' Viruses and short out your cybernetics, it'll screw with your head just enough to let them reset the skill tree.
Although I could see them adding more points and expanding the trees out a little more, if they maybe added an additional skill or added a fifth rank to each skill it wouldn't be to bad. I'd imagine an even bigger charge would involve you charging through unshielded enemies, if they have armor and such you'd just grab them a swing them like a club.

shepard dies and his long lost twin brother replaces him. His twin then insists on everyone calling him shepard, he's better in bed than the original and twice the sharpshooter.
(5 points for anyone that can guess which film I'm ripping off here)
Very late, but I was shocked and greatly amused at just how badass yet appropriate Shepard's paragon option for Vasir before the fight was:
"I've sacrificed thousands of human lives and unleashed the damn racknai on the universe. You think I'm going to care about ONE human hostage?"
Yeah I thought that seemed much more renegade.
I assumed that the renegade version would be
the same speech, but given immediately after shooting the hostage in the head.
Well, the thing that really makes that speech hilarious for me is that you actually DID those things in the name of being a good guy, and he's turning them on his head to make him sound like a loose cannon badass.
I think its largely the same as the paragon interrupt, but Shepard taunts her that she should stick to things that asari are good at, like dancing. And I do believe Liara does react to that, although nonverbally.

You'll die again in ME3 but then you'll get amnesia and forget about doing it.

This is what I did on my Renegade Engineer run. It was pretty hilarious, considering it was Femshep accompanied with Samara and Liara.

I wish I could get amnesia and forget Shepard died in ME2.
Joker getting mortally wounded on a planet with limited medical supplies and an abundance of YMIR mechs was one of the things I was holding out for in ME2. Dr. Chakwas can either let him die, or...
You also need some Steam powered robots with lances and shields to go with that image!
I'm sure that this has been brought up before, but I beat my first Mass Effect run a few weeks ago, and decided to play through the first one a few times to see more stuff before I get into ME2. The first time, I went through as FemShep because being a space-badass that's also a woman is super hot (and what a sweet ass), and loved many things about this game.
I decided to try making a male Shepard who's also a huge pussy (Paragon), and wow is the voice actor just unbelievably mediocre. Does he get better in the sequel? I'm gonna run through it just to see what the sex with Ashley is like, but I don't think I could tolerate a second game with this guy voicing Shepard, and normally I'd be all for it after my FemShep Renegade run.

At the same time, I can't say for certain that my reason is correct since I didn't make the game.
So, I'm not really going to argue it.
Our we cool?
I mean
You're cool with Hackett and Anderson, so that's probably all that really matters.

Its either Liara if you romanced her or Kaidan (it would be Ashley if you were dumb and let her live :P) if you didn't.

engineers would get some kind of backpack transmitter that causes enemies to gradually lose armor/shields/accuracy as they get closer
adepts would get reinforced codpieces that let them ride their own singularities
soldiers would get an ammo pack for their machine guns that chain-feeds heatsinks into their weaponry. no reloading during firefights. ever.
sentinels get piledriver boots that shake the ground as they storm, jolting enemies out of cover
infiltrators get a combat knife that instantly kills if used against an enemy's back
vanguards get spiked gauntlets and brass knuckles

Oh god this is hot. Like...you don't even know.
no extra ammo capacity
you'll be surprised the first time you run through all 13 widow shots in 3 seconds. :P

More class specific goodies and abilities would be cool.
power armor is great, but nothing says "YOU DO NOT WANT THIS GUY TO WALK UP TO YOU" than piledriver boots

reminds me of Guts from berserk

I wish I could get amnesia and forget Shepard died in ME2.
Guts would either absolute hate, or absolutely love, living in Appleseed's Olympus.
Such a cool/weird/confusing show.

And a handy reminder how much the Dark Ages (was it supposed to be modeled after the Dark Ages?) sucked.

He does get better in ME2, though. Even though I like him better in ME1, I can readily admit he does indeed improve.
You can tell he's improved, but he still only has one speaking voice. It's even more obvious put next to the other cast members.
Lol, opinions, etc.
