i can't get lv2 j.2C combos to work. either it's lv1 or it misses entirely
I'm by no means an expert with her but I do main Rachel. If you're trying to do it after a lily, you need you super jump along with an 8d and 2d (up wind and down) to give j2c momentum, then go down and it'll fatal counter. ;3 The only hammer combo I know is 5b, 5cc, 5D, 236 b, dash forward till you reach the opponent, 6a, 4d, 632146 c, super jump +8d, 2d, j2c, dash forward a tad bit, 214a, 3c, 236ax2, 6c without wind, jc, jb, jc, 214c. The spacing is pretty tricky at first but after you get the hammer to hit, you have free range to set up anything you'd like for them while they're falling down.
Are you talking about 6a>5b>jc>j.c>jc>2D>j.2C? That loop?
If so, you have to basically do the jump cancel from the j.C and the 2D in quick succession. And I do mean quick. You also have to delay the j.2C every so slightly.

Oh, wow. I thought there were only 2 stages haha. Well like I said, not an expert. I haven't attempted to do any of those types of hammer combos, what does the one you're trying to do look like?
Charge up to 5 stocks and do her "mugen" super that gives her infinite charge.
Then it's 236D>214D>wait>22D>dash>623D>236D>214D
You need to wait slightly on the 22D charge or else it will whiff. Also, you have to run and nail them with her 623D pretty quickly after the wall bounce.
Wow that is hard to do...I've been trying for a while today and it took me half an hour just to get the timing right for 2d right after the jc. I can get the hammer out but its always lv1. Seems I'm in the same boat as big red now.

i can sometimes get lvl2, but it's not reliable enough to use, say, online
So I played CS2 for the first time in Akihabara against some chain smoking locals [/brag]. Also the first Blazblue I've played in months, and the first time I've played it on an arcade stick. Naturally I sucked, but it was two hours of fun.
Also they made Taokaka awesome again which is lovely. She kinda got gimped in CS as far as jump range went, which is a BIG part of my strategy.
EDIT: THe only bad thing about CS2 is that beginner mode is included in the arcade version. Fuck that. My friends who had never touched the game before were spamming Jin ice faster than pro.
Also if anyone knows a good (CS2 would be nice but any version is fine for now) general guide to Taokaka theory, I may just need that shit. My current damage output sucks, I get stuck in combos easily, and I can barely do combos myself.
part of getting better is also getting used to a fightstick as primary input, rather than a controller, due to arcade being my main form of play rather than a novelty.
gah I wish these dustloop guys were a little better at compiling all this data. It's very useful, but they're terrible at updating OPs.
Yeah CS2 Taokaka is, from the standpoint of a guy who knows rather little about the technical shit, more like CT Tao in how she handles (a longer 4d than CS) but there are several differences that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I love it. She felt too gimped in CS (note that I have no ide ahow a taunt loop is supposed to work), though some people said she was alright in that one.

Playing without lag is totally much more fun. Every time I wanted to 720 or 1080 it came out.
Your Valk seems to be coming along pretty well too.
Also, Astrals
Fuckin' Astrals...
Though I learned that Rachel's Astral has a vacuum effect.
The more you know.
:?
Fix your connection dude :P
also, it's more like fix my location
even compared to other 0 bar connections
come to Hawaii, is my proposed solution

that's lv3
If you get to the top of her jump (or very very near the top) and do a j.2D without 2D, you will get her level 3 FC as well.
If you can do a j.2C lvl. 2 off of j.C, then you can do a loop until she runs out of wind.
First combo used here:
He uses it a few more times in the video.

Hard as heck to time properly
Once you get down the rhythm doing her lvl 3s is easier.
And you need to learn how to do them for her better combos.
Also they made Taokaka awesome again which is lovely. She kinda got gimped in CS as far as jump range went, which is a BIG part of my strategy.

And also you should be ashamed if you lose to anyone who uses beginner mode if you know what you're doing.
what I'm saying is that a pro would never spam ice. they spam 2a and b moves and jump cancel everything.
and are also slow and not that rewarding usually
Beginner ice spam:See the part where I haven't played BB in forever and I wasn't good to begin with
Accidentally picked beginner once and it was pretty much the biggest waste of a dollar i have ever made.
part of getting better is also getting used to a fightstick as primary input, rather than a controller, due to arcade being my main form of play rather than a novelty.
oh well, probably wouldn't be worth learning taunt loop anyway

She's different in that she has a new loop I guess.
2D loop or something. Dunno really.
how do they work
