Networking woes (nobody can access me)

Edit: This problem was fixed, read my edit for another network related problem.

This just started yesterday, and I haven't made any changes to my computer. I was trying to play TA Spring, and for some reason I couldn't connect to the server, but everybody else on the network could. I tried hosting my own server, which I could connect to, but nobody else could. They hosted their own server which they could connect to, but I couldn't connect to it.

I can ping them just fine, they can't ping me. I can access and browse their computers, they can't access mine. We tried other games, and we have the same problem, they can't connect to me, and I can't connect to them.

We tried Hamachi, but I can't connect to any Hamachi networks.

We are all a part of the same workgroup. I have tried repairing the connection as well as re-installing network components.

Again, this just started yesterday and I didn't make any changes to my computer that could have causes this to happen.

Edit: Now i'll use this thread for my brothers problem. He can't see anybody on the network, or access their computers, but he can ping them. In the My Network Places window, nothing comes up, not even in the workgroup list. In System Properties in the Computer Name tab, the Network ID button is greyed out, and when you click Change the Domain and Workgroup fields are greyed out.

I went and installed all the network related components, and checked to make sure all the services were enabled. Workstation is disabled, and when I try to enable it it gives me a Error 193: 0xc1 or something like that.

Are you on a wireless network? Maybe the router lost all the assignations at some point and your port forwarding is going to the wrong IP addresses?

Try killing your firewall temporarily (if you're running one) to isolate that as a cause. Ditto programs like PeerGuardian or anything network-related.

Is file & print sharing on? It shouldn't affect games, but eh...

File and Printer sharing is on (I can access their computers and copy stuff). I don't have a firewall. And the Router is wireless (Linksys) but i'm connected to it through Cat5 cable (it goes through a switch box first).

All the ports that should be forwarded to me are being forwarded, but we don't have to worry about that for LAN play (which we are trying to do).

Edit: I just went through my startup to check to see if anything was disabled that may be important. I re-enabled a bunch of stuff as well as turning on my firewall program (SyGate). Now it seems to work. I don't know if it was because SyGate was set to normal (which shouldn't affect anything because it's been off) or if it was something on startup that was disabled. Strange.

Edit: I just tested, it wasn't SyGate. It must have been something that had somehow gotten disabled to start on startup.
