I have an LG M2362D monitor, and I have a Wii hooked up to it via composite video. When I play games on the virtual console, I like to change the monitor's aspect ratio from 16:9 (the default) to 4:3, so the image doesn't look stretched. This usually works for about 10 minutes, and then the monitor's aspect ratio resets to 16:9 on its own. Why? How can I stop it from resetting? I've looked at the owner's manual and the support section of the LG website, and I couldn't find any information about this issue. My only guess is that it's a built-in feature to prevent burn-in of the black bars that appear in 4:3 mode, but if they insist on such a feature, then why give me the option of using the 4:3 ratio in the first place?
