Ripping audio from video

HappylilElfHappylilElf Registered User regular
Does anyone know of a decent program one can download to rip .MP3s from video? My friend recorded some local bands and the video is prety shoddy but the adio turned out really well.

Want to burn the audio to some CDs for the bands but I lack a program to do so :P

I use Quicktime for that, I think it's pretty easy.

VirtualdubMOD will do this and is free.

Depending on the format of the audio stream you might be able to just hit "Demux" and save the stream directly.

Will that do it even if they aren't quicktime vids? I think her camera takes .MPG videos.

*edit* Awesome, thanks Japan. That might be just the thing I'm looking for. I'll let you know how it works for me.

I used to use audacity for this, but have not been able to get it to work on my mac.
