Well its 3 in the morning, I have a bad head ache, so I searched once for the name that game thread. Couldn't find it. So I'm just gonna make a new thread. Should fall into obscurity soon.
I'm trying to remember the name of a PS2 game, the characters were squarish and chunky. And the art style seemed kind of... a Gothic fairy tale thing? (Cartoony as well) But don't quote me on that. Um, I want to say it was an RPG but Im not sure. ALSO, I'm not even sure if the damn thing got released. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd must appreciate it.
Web game, you were a sorceror/necromancer's apprentice.
One day you disrespected your master and he stuck you in this tower where you had to climb to the top. It was a level game, and each "level" was a 16x16 or so room with monsters, and you cast spells to beat them.
That's it. Maybe 16 bit or so. Isometric view if I remember.

Although that's more of a Tim Burton style of gothic fairy tale.

Sounds a lot like The Immortal, on the Genesis/Megadrive and the NES.

Gregory Horror Show? That definitely fits the square character part, and it did get released but only in Europe and Japan so it's obscure enough to wonder if it came out.

Nope, it was definitely a webgame. And I looked up screenshots of The Immortal. That wasn't it.
(I did consequentially find out about "The Immortal Game." A chess match.

2 games
An Amiga game where you were this hawk flying around in a castle full of traps, there were crushing walls and spikes. When the hawk died, it died gruesomely.
An Arcade game, 2D platformer from the 80s. If you stood around for long enough on the first stage, there was this witch on a broom you could knock off and I think you could either fly around on it or it warped you to a new stage.
These 2 have been in the back of my head for about 10 years.

Stretch Panic? Not an RPG, but it is fairly blocky with a Gothic Fairy Tale/Cartoon thing going on.

Square characters had me thinking this one too.
