PC for me. Unless I manage to get a console before it drops. I used to play Hot Pursuit every single day at my friends house just before school started. El Nino kicked so much ass.
Also despite no one buying it, Blur set a pretty fantastic crazy online racing benchmark and although I have no doubts this will be awesome will be interesing to see how it matches up.

I spent many a night with a friend and a bottle of Wild Turkey when it came out. So many great memories.
I preordered this for the PS3, mainly since I'm not a live subscriber. Anyone else getting it for the PS3?
The online features were what pushed me to get it, since it seems really cool. Though I'll need some PS3 friends to play with.

I'm looking forward to it due to Criterion being involved.
My friends and I have played out and practically done everything you could in Burnout Paradise, so we are quite looking forward to having a new toybox to play through.
Looking forward to this demo, Im kinda glad they have gone back to the walled off style I prefer that.
I take it there are no Ferrari's in this game?
I prefer that style too, but I was of the impression that they're sticking with a slightly toned down BP style?
Oh I thought it was like which ever one was released close to the 360 launch, Most Wanted? Where the races are kinda locked down with some free roam, or am I just remembering that stuff with rose tinted glasses? Paradise was to open for me, Most Wanted seemed to give you alot more direction.
I guess we will find out for sure tomorrow :P
Liked Shift as well, not as good as Forza but pretty close, especially good with the wheel, high hopes for that sequal as well, EA do seem to be sorting there act out at least with this series.

I just hope we have a few playground areas like the air field and quarry in Burnout Paradise. Those places were good fun to just goof around in.
I'm really excited about this game, but launching right after codblops means I'm probably going to wait to pick it up until I get my fill of shootin mans. Unless the demo really blows me away I guess.
the cop mission is... eh. i dunno its ok i guess. the race is fun but its only fun because it feels like burnout, and its less fun than burnout is. really the demo just made me want to play paradise more, so thats what im gonna do. im still definitely going to get this game, but its not going to bump codblops immediately thats for sure.
I actually found the cop chase to be a lot more exciting than the race. Both were still fun, but I was surprised by how much the cop event can be influenced by luck. I swear I took down 3 racers at a road block while the game was playing the takedown cinematic for another driver. By accident.
Having played the shit out of Burnout Paradise and the pre-Underground NFS games i don't think there's a way I can not buy this game.

I won't judge the demo too harshly. The Burnout Paradise demo was terrible and turned me off from buying it for quite a while. I ended up buying it on a whim, and it's now my most played 360 game.
I'm sure the full game will be much better than the demo.
Don't know if there's a list or not for friending up to unlock the racer map, but if there is, feel free to add me to the PS3 list. PSN ID is Lucascraft.
Alright so I've played each race once now. I definitely plan on going through both of them at least once more, but I'm definitely sold on the game. I enjoyed every minute of each event. A few thoughts:
Cop Chase event: I went with the Crown Vic, because I didn't want Yorker to think I was a communist. (See 2 posts above). The car definitely had some muscle, and actually, I felt like it had pretty good speed too. However, I felt like the Road-block ability was completely ineffectual. Each time I set it up, the racers busted right through it with no problem at all. You would think that if the police were gonna set up an effective road block, they would incorporate some nail strips to help them out. But I guess since the nail strip is a deployable weapon, they didn't want to overuse it or something? Anyway, the roadblocks kind of suck. And I actually crashed into one of mine, getting the complete opposite effect I was going for.
Race event: I picked the Porche, and I felt like this car had a really terrible top-speed. I'll need to go through the race again with a different car. I ended up winning the race, but not because of my car or my driving, but rather because I lucked out and the cars in the lead ended up in a fairly big head-on collision near the finish. However, I do really like the fact that this game has actual races in it with no police interference. I wonder what the ratio of real races to cop chases will be in the final game. I mean, I enjoy cop chases too, but sometimes I just want to do a street race and I'm glad to see that there will be at least 1 real race in the game with no police involvement.

I don't guess they got rid of their really annoying rubberband AI?

Yeah, you've got to be careful with the roadblocks, they work better when you're chasing the whole pack, all of them can't get through.
For the race event I prefer the BMW, you'd think the Porsche would be the best choice but I found the Z4 a lot easier to drive.
What times are you guys getting in these events? I have a 1:27 in the police chase and a 3:40 something for the race.
Only ran them once so far. Police Chase didn't go so well. I only caught 2 dudes before the time ran out. I'll have to run it again now that I know what I'm doing.

1:07.92 in the chase with my Commiemobile (currently 1st on my Speedwall), and 3:39.99 for the race in the Z4 (4th); fastest friend has done a 3:32.06 in the Boxster. Not entirely sold on the drift handling so far, but I'm sure I'll adapt.
EDIT - 3:30.61 with the Boxster. Definitely seems like it gets up to speed faster than the Z4, despite having a slower 0-100 km/h time.

you can play as a cop right away, but you need one friend to d/l it as well, and then it will unlock the racer portion.
You can carry 500 bounty points into the full game.
Only played about 2 min quick before work. Seems fun.
Pretty game. I wonder if they used vehicle and graphic assests from SMS?
Edit: Updated OP with info about the demo.

I think I'll pick up a copy of Most Wanted for my 360 and dig up my NFS3 CD for my computer
I'm sure the full game will be much better than the demo.
