I wouldn't consider myself an anime connoisseur, but I think 'FMA Brotherhood' is much, much better than the original. It just feels like it moves so much faster. The pacing makes it feel like it's actually going somewhere as opposed to the random meandering of the first show.
Anime was a big influence in where I am right now, but nobody can make me sit down and watch it now. I can't stand the shallow plots and some culture things go beyond my ability to enjoy them.
But what really got me off anime were the anime kids in Japanese class.
Anime kids also ruined anime for me, but looking back I always had a hard time following long series, and if it wasn't for my sister I would have probably wandered away from most of them. The last series I watched with any sort of interest was outlaw star.
Not hanging out with the nerdy kids at school really put my hobbies in check, with the exception of everyone in my apartment playing fallout non-stop for a solid winter.
I don't really watch the animus either - the only full series I've seen is Cowboy Bebop, which I didn't think was as great as everyone makes it out to be. Full Metal Alchemist does sound interesting though, I might give it a try some time.
If only hulu would work properly in places other than America.
oh god guys
my brother wants to buy a painting off me
its this big 1.5x4 foot acrylic thing i did last year
i dont know how much to tell him it is worth i am no artist
I could never get into Full Metal Alchemist. The few episodes I saw showed promise, but like most anime series, it was too daunting to get into it because its like a bajillion episodes long. I did however just watch the first Ghost in the Shell today, which I had never seen in its entirety, and hey, it was great!
The ads around town for Layton 3 are pretty great.
And yeah, EWA, like any series you can't just jump into the middle of it. Following the story is kind of an investment, but I think it's well worth it.
FMA: Brotherhood had poorer pacing in my opinion, but mileage may vary.
Haha, it reminds me of the Brain if the Brain was a puppy and not a mouse.
Also, if The Brain was trying to take over the world with Cute instead of his Evil Genius.
No, I hate the Samsung Rogue. It's a chimera of bugs and terrible design, and now it won't let me transfer my pictures to an online album OR TO ANY OTHER DEVICE. Verizon is just making things worse with their customer service minefields. I have to get this shit resolved in the next couple days or I'll owe those bastards $500 for the replacement phone.
How does one go about courting a quite and rather shy girl?
Ask her out in way that creates a loud and embarrassing public spectacle. Make sure you are able to prolong the experience as long as necessary.
The more bashful they are, the quicker they fold. 8-)
also, general advice time. How does one go about courting a quite and rather shy girl?
Invite her to things with other people going along, as a group. If you have any mutual friends to invite too, that'd a huge plus.
Just don't come on too strong, I guess, and act according to how comfortable she seems. When I first meet and try to become friends with people who seem really shy, I generally "hold back" a bit of myself and don't act too crazy. :P As they get more comfortable with me, I can let go a little more until I can "act more outgoing" (?) around them and they'll be comfortable with it. I don't know how well you guys know each other to begin with, though...but I'd guess that this same tactic would work in your situation.

The kids can call him StuJu!
I am shocked.
Netflix instant watch helps me make terrible, terrible movie watching decisions too. It's what I pay them for.

One of my old science teachers was obsessed with that movie. He kept talking about Ghost in the Shell and the future.
