I have not been sick all year and was all smug about it because it coincided with running regularly and eating much better, so I was all haha, health benefits are real, not just 'theories' toted by annoying fitness freaks.

And then I got a cold this weekend and was really goddamn annoyed about it.

But I just refused to be ill. Lots of hot lemon drinks, steamy bath with eucalyptus oil, extra mustard on my food, and went out for a decent run.

And then I woke up and was all better. Normally a cold will hang on and linger... but I kicked it straight to the curb this time round.

Fuck colds before they fuck you.

Guys, this morning I was moving some stuff around and a cd case fell open and do you know what was inside? A copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the night. I didn't even know I had that game. I'm so excited to go home and play it after work.

No, I related a story about how my little brother dropped a shovel on my head and I was busy beating his ass until suddenly blood everywhere. Then Ikage kept it going with an even more ludicrous story of her own.

Edit: Also! I'm probably going to be getting a kitty soon (landlord willing). I'm pretty nervous about it but i'm also excited! Do you guys have any advice on finding the right cat that doesn't suck a whole lot? I was planning going to go to a couple of shelters and try to find it that way, is there a better method for cats? I know that there are a lot of dog breeders out there, not so sure about cat breeders...

I got mine from the Human Society. They let us meet a bunch of cats. The cat we got is grossly overweight, but it's the nicest cat I've ever met.

Nope, there is no better way. Rescue or shelter cats is the best cats.

There's no need to make multiple threads. You're expected to put your body of work in one thread only, until it falls off the page. I think this is more etiquette than a written rule though.

Just as a sidebar, threads may fall of the page, but they never die. Everything is archived, so you can find an older thread by changing the page display parameters.

Cross posting so I dont keep the soon to be locked thread alive, Isn't there a point where the forums cut off? Because I've been posting since highschool at least, but I don't think things go back 8 years, do they?

The first thread by me I can find is from freshman year of college.

The forums were only updated to software/servers that could handle archiving everything only a couple of years ago, so you're not going to find anything that far back. Especially anything pre crash.

So tired today. I had some time off last week so I'd fallen into my vacation sleep pattern of staying up until 2-3 AM and getting up around 9 AM. For work I have to be up by 6 AM. I'm missing those 3 hours pretty badly right now.

Played through Assassin's Creed II during my days off. I also ended up grabbing the DLC missions because they were on sale on XBL for about $5 (for both). I'm kind of in love with the game right now. I can't wait for AC: Brotherhood. I'm curious to see where they go with the next "real" AC game. Something like Victorian England? You kind of need a civilization with a lot of buildings to climb around on. I could see the next game maybe having multiple historical settings or being set in different modern locations around the globe as they hunt for the Pieces of Eden.

I picked up the first game a month or so ago but had only had time to play about an hour of it and then picked up ACII for $20 on sale about a week ago. I debated finishing the first game so that I would have the whole story (and because I'd heard that ACII had a bunch of gameplay improvements) but ended up just jumping into the second game.

I started playing through the first game again and it's still a very beautiful game with cool gameplay but there are a few annoying things that got fixed in the sequel. You travel between cities by horse rather than being able to just fast travel to locations you've been to before and the missions in ACII seem to be a lot more varied than in the first game.

Other than that, I really like the mythology they've built with the games. I want to play through the first AC just to get all of the backstory I've missed.

Brotherhood (coming in November) is sort of ACII.5, continuing the story of Ezio Auditore during the Italian Renaissance. It also has an awesome looking multiplayer mode.
