So, for the past week or two I've noticed a sharp pain in my left testicle. Sometimes I won't notice it at all, while other times it's very noticable and makes me wonder if the poor bastard is getting smashed in there.
I exercise often. I run, I do deadlifts, squats, etc. My immediate assumption is that my left testicle somehow may have been crushed or pinched when I was exercising and now it's a bit sore.
I'd rather not go to the doctor, because I don't have insurance and the process is a pain in the ass.
That it got crushed or pinched is unlikely in my opinion, but IANAD. A doctor can feel your testicles and identify the problem. This isn't a complicated procedure and shouldn't cost you much.

does it always hurt or does it regulate to just a weird feeling every now and again
and: does it feel like someone is just placing their finger on part of your testicle, maybe where the Vas deferens connects to the ball itself
I am not a doctor and I advise you to go see one, especially concerning your boys
If it hurts, go see a doctor. Otherwise there's nothing we're going to tell you that helps.
Haha, no. This is different. Thanks, Esh.
Really? Because I'm willing to bet it's not. Put two and two together.

I'm going to agree with Esh here. Your left testicle was "injured" a few years back. Now, you're experiencing frequent pain in your left testicle? For a week or two?
Go and see a doctor, man. I know as a guy you have to stick to the cliche "Nah, if it hasn't fallen off it's fine rule," but this is the exception.
No, it wasn't the testicle, per say. It was a combination of position and weight that sent my testicle upwards into my lower abdomen.
I shouldn't have said "crushed." That was misleading.
The first thread was made, because I was simply curious how a testicle can leave it's natural home and move through a canal or entry way into your lower abdomen.

Fine. The two incidents are entirely unrelated and could not possible be a cause/effect situation.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't have this checked out right now. Any pain in your nuts that lasts a fucking week should be looked at. It's normal to have a bit of swelling for an hour or two if you went running or something and they were bouncing around a lot, but an entire week is out of the question.
It hasn't been hurting for an entire week. I meant to say that I first started experiencing the pain about a week ago, but that it isn't constant. For example, it hurt for about .2 seconds while I took a shower tonight, but it hasn't hurt since then.
Periodically, like, once a day or once every two days, I'll experience a brief, sharp pain. It rarely lingers, but it does make me wonder if I somehow injured myself.
I'm going running tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain it won't hurt.
Since it was a few years ago, I doubt new pain now is a direct result of the incident in the other thread. I've had the same thing there happen occasionally like a lot of guys in that thread.
It sounds for the life of me like a groin pull. I had a minor one and it would hit me just when my testicles dropped to their lowest point. It would hurt like a bitch, but it also made them "flinch" and pull back up closer, and the pain started to go away when they did.
Edit: Just to clarify, I went to the doctor, so should you. There's a lot of sensitive bits down there that can hurt, and even a groin pull is a good idea to have looked at, especially if you plan to run on it.

Something that happened years ago can have an effect on something that happened today.
Example being a family member who started having seizures that were tied to a car accident about 10 years ago.

Ok well, we can do it this way. Heres what you want to hear. Your nut is fine and nothing bad is going to happen, just ignore it. Sometimes they hurt. Whatever.
Now, in reality, this could be a fuckton of things, from benign, to a slightly twisted testicle, to nut cancer. You could lose your nut if you ignore it. You should probably see a doctor. If youre fine with possibly losing a nut, just ignore it. Its yours, you can do what you want.

I honestly don't know what you want to hear from us. None of us are going to be able to diagnose you. NONE OF US. Go to a doctor if you're concerned.

I have a similar 'ailment' but I know it's cause. Every once in a while I'll get a quick pain sensation when my testicles shift. It's just my floating vas deferens shifting. Note, though, that I've had a vasectomy, thus my lime-ing of the above. For all you know you could have given yourself an at home version.
When I get kidney stones (I've had 3, but been without for a few years now, knocking on wood) I feel them in my boys. Weird? Maybe, but that's where it hurts. It's a special kind of pain though. Typically starts dull and throbby but quickly escalates to "Oh god why can't I stand up? Why is the floor rushing at me so fast OH GOD THE PAIN".
Then they give some muscle relaxants and it's alll good for about 12 hours of hazy memories. Fun times.

Really the only advice to give has been given, and furthermore, Slider, if I have to read one more thread about your nuts there will be consequences.

No, it doesn't always hurt. It's sharp, like, I got hit there or...
Hey, maybe I did something when I was wearing those super tight pants the other day? Hmm.
it sounds like an internal problem, like there's something amiss with it
I really doubt you're pinched something or are constantly sitting on it or something
keep in mind this isn't necessarily a HUGE DEAL, stuff like Varicocele is only really problematic to sperm count and is very reversible
the connections, the "tubes" running to your balls, what do they feel like
This only started happening recently, which is why I assumed it was something I did.
but have you been jerkin it lots and lots over the last few weeks?
