I love Tasteless, but I remember him being a much higher-level commentator back in BW, who spent less time talking about the basics of the game. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong because I knew a lot less about BW.

He spent several years talking about BW, and the gameplay in general was so much more evolved. There isn't the same amount of timings and general knowhow to pull from yet.
That said, I can't wait for it to get more technical, but it's hard atm as people are almost inventing new strategies daily :P.
He pulled that off so well. Had the right amount of guys hiding around, stalled the bio ball long enough to get the spine crawlers up to stall even more. All the while he had that hidden expansion and some more dudes that could come down later and help guard his expo.
I think he had stim researched for a while because Fruitdealer kept trying to force it with his muta harrass. A really nice move since liveforever had no medivacs up.
uh guys, I wake up for work and this thread isn't on the first page.
let's remedy that.

Yeah he was milking stim at the end thinking he had won the base race
pretty patient dude otherwise, must have seen it before, I probably would have stimmed marines the second i saw mutas because so many zergs target fire buildings they've seen before or just attack move
so I was playing 2v2 and I had an interesting match where I lost. Basically it was TP vs ZP. The zerg was muta harassing, no biggy. The protoss and I clash. He has 2 colossi, a bunch of sentries and a decent size of stalkers.
I have a few immortals an a large group of stalkers. My food count is a decent bit higher then his, and I have a +1 attack.
He uses forcesfields to keep me away from the colossi and just rapes me. It was a thing of beauty. I need to study the replay and go to town with it in PvP, it seems crazy good as long as your opponent isnt going VR.
I have issues scouting in 2v2. Its too easy to just scout both early and then guess what they are doing based on that, and how the game goes. But yeah, stalker, sentry, colossi seems like a great PvP build. I suppose observer +blink would have allowed me to hop over the wall to the colossi. What is the range on blink?
Also, colossi owns HT. I had another 2v2 game where my massive army went down to two smaller armies because colossi just fried all my HT before they could get storms off

Moral of the story, colossi>HT in pvp.
Colossi is the be end all strat of PvP.
A 1 base colossi timing push when you have 2 colossi and thermal lance is disgustingly powerful, as you will have a ton of zealots to soak damage while colossi kill stuff. a 4 gate can break it with stellar timing, but a single sentry can deny that window.
Usually it wins outright, but otherwise you can retreat with the 2 colossi and expand when third is done.

speaking of which, how fast are people getting HT's out, if that's your focus?
Anyone tried day9's new funday monday? I planned to go reaper->ghost->banshee/viking.
But i found not only is that too gas heavy for me to keep up i also dont have the micro skills to keep up with harrasing with reapers and ghosts at the same time agaisnt the main and expo.
I did manage to get a nuke off, but then detection went up everywhere .
thor/ghost/hellion is a legitimate composition against toss. The trick is living without the first couple marines
Why wouldn't you get the first couple marines?
Day9's funday Monday limitation.. you cannot build marine, maurader or tank.
Please submit to [email protected] with a basic 2 line description of the game itself.
I would say a Reaper Harass or even a reaper bunker defense with svc repairing can hold off 2 gate zealot. You can try to push with 1 thor or 1 bc with a bunch of svc repairing it.
Easier way to do this is reaper transition to hellion/ 2 starport banshee rush.
Where do you watch day9 dailies as they are being cast? I didn't see it on blip.tv last night so I just did something else and I'm watching it right now.

LT and Kulas coming up though if I don't remember incorrectly, he can still come back.
And Tasteless is so awesomely shameless about plugging things it's adorable :P.
flanking from both sides, forcing tanks out of position, fungal growthing everything, and baneling carpet bombs

you could see the nerves that game
Terran armies aren't op until you have the medivacs. That base trade was such a bad idea.
Fruitdealer is a monster though, insane. He actually has a chance to win this.
Jesus? I don't ask for much...
let's remedy that.
