I also wanted to mention that the fact that every Psychopath has his/her own theme music makes it just fucking awesome.
I like that too. As much as I hate Antoine, I rather like his music.
If you want to know the band that does 6 of the psychopath songs, it's Celldweller. I'm trying to find the song that plays when Antoine is fighting you but I can't seem to find it yet. Give me a few.
...Now I have to decide whether I want to leave my save point close to the "final" boss, and find an amp to make the BFG with...nah, I'll just beat the boss first, and get it in overtime mode.
Whatever, yes, they take way more hits and are hella-hard to out-maneuver. Plus the damn gore-spit and harder QTEs *shakes fist*.
Thankfully, killing queens right in front of them still works, and a late-game gun called the Disruptor Rifle is meant specifically for THEM.
I used swords most of the game so I never noticed a huge difference in them other than the increased speed and vomiting. Double booked blades from Ned's got me through the last of the game. You can cut 5 or 6 of them in half with one swipe of the sword. I'm pretty sure they had Ned's blades like that so you could get around in the end game without going through too many stops to Ned's for more.
So... Sven.. THe paramedic survivor... He's got a wee bit of the action hero in him, dosent he?
I didnt know I was smashing him with my Guitar + Amp (such a stupid-obvious-that-shouldnt-work combo!) and he then proceeds to unload an infinite supply of shotgun rounds into me, stunlocking me to death with a polite, simply "Sorry."
Someone help me with the qte's for zombies grabbing me....I just shake the stick right, how come I never perform the ddt or the backdrop
If you escape/wriggle out of it within a second you will perform one of those moves. Note the move description states escaping a zombies grasp quickly, wheras in DR1 you had to press a button combo or double tap a stick. In DR2 it just depends where you have been grabbed from and if you escape quick enough. Just wiggle the stick like crazy if a zombie lunges for you.
What's a good way to farm money aside from TiR? I'm building a lot of hackers and zapping ATM machines (doing this on the 'Bank Run' misson, plus his reward made me like $100,000).
Also, if you are aiming for buying the very high priced stuff, there are bargianing magazines (one is nearby Jasper in the food court) that gives you a pawn shop discount. On that note I didn't even notice the chopper/motorcycle in the Yutacan casino until my third run.
Apparently I managed to rescue 64 survivors, too (technically 54). Not bad on my first playthrough.
Howd you do it? Im on him now, and while I don't find him nearly as frustrating as the main boss, he's equally hard. So far I've only been able to get him down to 75%...

For the Overtime boss, I drank a painkiller right before going through the doors in the
Arena
. I skipped the cutscenes (don't know if that makes a difference), and the painkiller stayed active for the first chunk of the fight.
After that, I mostly spammed jumping double kicks and dodge rolls until he went down.
His health doesn't reset if you go back down to the casino, so you can beat him by sheer exhaustion: hit him as much as you can, go back down the elevator, save, rinse, repeat.
Alternately, you can bring the LMG from the Yucatan pyramid in the casino. If you stand on the lower of the two platforms that you use to climb up to him, you can sometimes hit him with the LMG, but he usually can't hit you with his 7-shooter. Take a few shots when his head pops up, wait as he rolls around, take a few more, etc. This should take off nearly half his health alone.
Also, the bar in the Yucatan casino has tons of beer and a blender. Make lots of painkillers, and use them liberally during the fight.
Double drop kick. The hold-X-in-midair one. They take a nice chunk off his health and usually drop him. Then you pop him with something strong until he gets back up. Rinse and repeat.
EDIT: Overtime mode:
Fuck I fucking hate jump scares. AND I KNEW IT WAS COMING, TOO.
I read a couple of posts on it earlier but am worried I'm not understanding it.
From my understanding:
Host keeps story progress. Visitor keeps PP, cash, inventory, fancy outfit, etc.
Visitor saving over one of their normal saves will cause the inventory, PP, cash, fancy outfit, etc. of that save to be overwritten, but keep the story progress.
Host saving should be like normal.

I just did all cases in Dead Rising 1, and I've gotten to the point where -
The military arrives (Overtime Mode ?) got the Snuff Shot achievements, Hella Copter and Legendary Soldier, and went to Carlito's hideout with Isabela, but where do I go from here ? I thought of waiting for the chopper and then make a run for it, but its hard to get the general idea of what to do at this point without the guide arrows

From my experience, joining co-op games doesn't influence your saved inventory. Whenever I joined, my inventory was empty and whenever I went back to singleplayer, I had the same inventory as last time I played alone.

This is true with 1 exception. If you beat the game co-op, and are on the end game saving screen... if the guest saves there, it will overwrite his story progress.
I think I have a solution, but it needs to be tested. You should have the guest save the post-game (ending) save in a second slot, use that save in the next co-op game, and when saving in *that* game, save over the original file. This way, you get to keep your save and get all those "finished the game" PPs.
Edit: The guest's inventory won't change. If he leaves a co-op game, his current inventory will drop to the ground. When he goes back to his single player game, he will have his regular items.
If you want the guest to come in the co-op game with his items, you need to have the guest start up his single player game and accept the invite from there.

I havent played the first in forever but I think at this point you wait for extraction. Just kill time till then. Overtime comes
AFTER the helicopter pilot dies and you are stranded.
I just finished DR2 , S rank in my first playthrough and I was 4 fucking survivors short of 50.
The boss fights with sullivan and TK were fucking annoying in single player but nowhere near as bad as Brock was back in the first.
So I stumble upon a rock concert. THey finish up their set by blowing the heads off of every zombie in audible distance.
Then I hand each of them an assault rifle. DEATH METAL DEATH SQUAD. I then proceed to take my gem-stuffed leafblower and my squad through a horde of zombies, and just when I go to pop into a resturaunt to get everyone's health up, Antoine's cutscene plays. I'd forgotten just where we were, tooling around and such.
My face is all "Oh fuck this is so game over."
Death squad rips him apart with no casualties, if a desperate need for food. So I keep going! My first encounter with Slappy (And I aint spoiling a single bloody detail on that one, you're just gonna have to see it yourself) goes with similar efficiency.
Of Course, the next survivor I find, a girl who fell out of a tanning bed, roasted to almost dead., decides to be useless... I make a polite face and try not to examine the massager on her tanning bed, and likewise dont ask how she wound up stuck in a bed for a day or so.
But she shows us a secret passage back to the safehouse so thats all good. Now I just gotta go stop some goons from robbing a bank!
.... How did ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IN THIS GAME, SERIOUSLY.
I think Dean has got to be the worst survivor. He's so slow! The other slow survivors I've run into, I could at least pick up and run past the zombies with, but not this asshole that insists on walking by himself on his slow little legs.

That's the war vet with the handgun, right?
Wheelchairs. They're strategically placed along the path.

I don't know if he's a war vet, but he does have a handgun. I did try to run into him with a wheelchair and it didn't seem pick him up like it does with the zombies.
Also, I ended up dying when I tried to rescue him, so I decided to not attempt rescuing him again.

There's a leadership book that improves the abilities of survivors. I'm told it makes him faster than you, and extremely deadly if you hand him an LMG.
What are the best handbooks to have? Limited inventory makes carrying a bunch of them around kinda meh.
I don't quite understand the Horror magazine. +25% PP? But doesn't seem to work.
Also Katey is an idiot. Hey, yes I have your Zombex early, so why don't you just keep it with you until it's time to use it?
The horror magazines are only for special kill counts, such as 1000, I think. I have two that give +10% PP from weapon kills and one that makes food heal twice as much.
Quick question, how do you remove articles of clothing (aside from ones you just put on that you can return to the rack).
I shoved on some sunglasses early in the game, and I'm regretting that because Chuck is much more emotive than Frank ever was, and I'd like to see his eyes, but I can't find a way to take them off.

Anyone want to make a cool icon for the Steam group? The one I have up is kind of lame.
I was trying to keep that spoiler proof :x

Dunno. What with all the mayhem between that case file and the "last" case file, I haven't bothered experimenting.
