Quick question, how do you remove articles of clothing (aside from ones you just put on that you can return to the rack).

I shoved on some sunglasses early in the game, and I'm regretting that because Chuck is much more emotive than Frank ever was, and I'd like to see his eyes, but I can't find a way to take them off.

You can use the closet in the bathroom in the safe house.

So I beat 72 hour mode last night (last boss was not nearly as hard as you guys were making him out to be. Just have a couple painkillers and wolverine-claw his face in. :P Stick to the middle of the platform so he doesn't throw you off), but I lost in Overtime mode (that boss fight is ridiculous... wtf is with their insistance on hand-to-hand fights for overtime bosses?) and of course didn't save at all, so I have to do that whole thing over again -_-

Anyways, question - if I start a new playthrough and don't do the cases, will I still get all the survivor/psycho scoops? I think after I beat it I'm going to try and grab a bunch of achievements, some of which require certain scoops (i.e. a couple of Katey's gifts, etc). I'm just wondering if I still have to do the cases or not as that kind of eats up a lot of time.

P.S. - Has anyone found a place to get Chuck's original clothes back?

Reaction to him committing suicide with said shotgun: D:
I wonder if he did it because I had started talking to him and then walked away from him before I had convinced him to join me. I had no idea it could happen and I had put Tammy (the mermaid) on the ground and a few zombies seemed to get close to her.

    For the last story boss:
When I first fought him, I had no idea what to do. I went to hit him with my Defiler (my psycho killer of choice), but he just kept disarming me and beating me to death). I jumped off the platform and fell into the hole in the roof so I could heal. I then noticed that I had Seymour's six shooter in my inventory still. With a high damage (for a gun) and a lot of bullets, it was perfect! Just shoot him until he rolls and wait (he's invicible in the roll animation), rinse and repeat and I killed him with that. My second play through, I missed a few shots so he had some life left. I just climbed on up and double drop kicked him and finished him off.

Also it appears as if you can pick up the flares and throw them back at him, but it didn't really seem to do anything, a missile didn't get shot at the flare location.

*edit: I also used the six shooter against Sergeant Boykin, that fight was too easy with the six shooter.

I really enjoyed this one. The first Dead Rising had some problems for me (it seemed really hard at the time and I also played it on a regular TV *ugh*), but DR2 really addressed those issues. The combo weapons almost make it seem too easy (especially for psychopaths), but I just love feeling like a badass when I'm smacking zombies around.

There's another Zombrex that I don't see in the OP:
There's another survivor based Zombrex. I believe the message is called "Hunger Pains", it's the one with the fat guy in the diner in the strip. You have to bring him something to eat for him to join you, and if you can get him to the safe house, he'll give you a dose of Zombrex.

That is correct, the same situation happened for the same reason with me on my first run. Just put her, appropriatley enough in the second floor swimming pool and talk to him for a good long while.

Also, when I got the pattern down for the overtime boss he was fairly easy
there are 3 or 4 attacks he does where he has a second or two recovery time. Lay into him with 3 or 4 punches then roll away. Rinse and repeat.

Man, I doubt I'll ever have enough time for that stuff, I really dont get why you arent allowed to save in some shit that takes goddamn 14 hours D:

I just got the true ending in DR1 though, and I'm probably doing another 72 hour run for achievements and fucking about.

Does the Megaman set give any bonuses ? Or any parts or sets of clothing ?

SWAT armor gives some significant damage reduction, I know that much. The Knight Armor doubles your health, the DLC armors all bestow bonuses.

Just wearing one piece of the sport's fan's set gives you either most or all of it's bonuses, one of which is a ridiculous speed boost. It's rad because the cleats actually look rather normal and fit right in with Chuck's normal jacket and jeans.

And just because I feel like saying: I'm really enjoying this game. Case Zero didn't do it justice at fucking all.

You don't have to fight the Overtime boss with only your hands. On my first try, I completely missed the side platforms for over half the fight. You can find OJ, snacks, and various weapons there that you can use. There are two side platforms and you can also jump on the platform between them for other goodies, although that's a bit dangerous if the boss is around.

You know, it would have been cool if you could have taken one or two survivors you've rescued back out into the field with you. You could equip them with weapons, health items, and perhaps they'd even level up the more you use them. There would be the danger of them dying, though. It would make the survivor effectiveness magazine all the more important.

Ah, I lucked out there. Since I was escorting her AND the limp dude from the concert psycho (OMG what a PITA!) I ended up just putting them all in Brand New U first and telling them to stay there (didn't want zombies swarming them while I talked to that dude.

So yeah, I was able to just talk to him until he finally joined (god its a long ass conversation too!)

    Anyways, just beat Overtime mode.
TK can go to fucking hell. What a shitty boss fight. I think ultimately I just beat him with a pipe until he died. I was trying to use the jump + hold X body slam thing but it kept missing. When it hit, it was good, but otherwise not the most accurate. The pipe, paint cans, and stage lights ultimately worked best in the end for me. With some OJ to heal when he runs off for a bit.

Also, fuck trying to use that moose head. I spent so much time being blown up by fire and dropping it that I lost most of my life. I finally got it out of there and it didn't even work that well. Bah.

Anyways, anyone know the answer to my previous question? Can I skip the cases in my new playthrough and still get most of the scoops?

Uuuuugh. So, when my friend and I play co-op, whenever either of us Save, the other player gets disconnected and kicked back to single player.

We decided to play through the entire game in one sitting. And my friend crashed on the loading screen to the Case 5-1 cutscene, causing us to lose about ~7 hours of work. Sigh.

    For the Lord of Limping
I just used the time it took for him to walk from place to place to replace combo weapons and restock on healing items. Just coming back into Royal Flush Plaza, I had enough time to climb up to that secret room to get another sniper rifle, get a blambow, and almost enough time to get another set of knife gloves.
On the upside, the guy seems even more resistant to zombie grabs than other survivors. I've never stayed with him and only seen him grabbed once. Then before I could even help him, another zombie knocked him free. I also decided that letting him just walk was faster than trying to get him to sit in a wheelchair (other survivors can easily end up getting in instead) and I was going to have to do all that resupplying anyway. May as well do it while waiting for a survivor to get to safety and then come out of the Saferoom with nothing to do but get more survivors or do the next case.

    Also, for special needs survivors
Dead Rising 1 has strongly hardened me to their plight. Bleeding guy who needs Zombrex? Screw him, I've got better things to do than find extra Zombrex for him. Fat hungry guy? I only stopped by long enough to kill him because screw having to feed a selfish asshole to keep him from taking people with him when he leaves.

Of course, it's kinda funny because I could easily have gotten enough Zombrex to help the infected guy and I have plenty of inventory space to haul back food. I really just don't care, but I was willing to bring golf lady another club. At least she doesn't suck up all the food in the place and gives me something like fifty grand for the trouble.

So I beat the final boss. The REAL final boss. After that retarded scavenger hunt for shit that was all over the place, I go through the Silver Strip one last time, save, heal, and duke it out with him.
Of course, TK was annoyingly tough prior to me grabbing some OJ and a wrench, but after getting back to the main area, I just went crazy with the drop-kicks, stunning him then bashing him with the wrench a couple times, rince, repeat. The fight ended with one last Drop-kick. It was epic.

I would prefer to play this on the PC as thats where I prefer to do my gaming.

I HAVE heard a few things around that the port is shitty.

With that being said the port would have to be EPICLY shitty for me to go with PS3 instead. For example, I got all the way through Saints Row 2 on the PC (a pretty shitty port) and I had a ton of fun after I got used to the wonky controls.

Yes. There are tons of fucking Queens. and they do just like in the first game: Kill all stupid Zombies nearby. Stocking up on them makes traveling through the Silver Strip a walk in the park (well, almost, anyway). You just have to keep killing zombies, and eventually one will pop up.

There should be a scene involving Queens around 7:00 am on day 2, I think... I need confirmation on that.

Yes, they increase your odds of getting good hands such as Aces/Face Cards and possibly also things like getting pairs and all-one-suit (for flushes) - but don't quote me on that last part :P. They don't seem to have an effect on the community cards though, just your hand.

Of course, how much this *actually* helps really depends on luck still. I mean, if someone gets 4 twos they are going to beat you, even if you have a pair of kings or something :P But it at least helps for winning based on having the "high card" (i.e. when no one has a winning hand, or say, a pair of aces/kings/queens/jacks over a pair of anything else :P)

With all three gambling books I noticed I got aces/face cards almost every time. Occasionally you will get a lower card, but you'll almost always have at least *one* ace/face card.

Kind of hilarious when you're playing the safe house game and get the three women in the room - all of them sound identical :P Also, the guy in the Knight Helmet who had a really high pitch voice when rescuing him suddenly has a lower pitch one :P
