I wonder if we could set up a player game with 4 slots with PAers. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't take such a retarded amount of time for a game to start.
I'm spending more time waiting then actually playing.
Yeah I was going to wait a few months till I tried that. I'm not sure if we can guarantee all of us in one game at this point in time.
The first time I played it I tried a Ranked match, but no one showed up into the game, so I tried a non-ranked game, won an event but lost the show overall and
-I didn't get to keep any of the cash I had won
-I didn't get the achievement for winning an event
I don't think non-ranked games "count" for achievements or prizes. So we wouldn't be able to cheese it with an all PA group.
EDIT: God dammit, I hate my net connection.
Here's how teh last 20 minutes just went
-Join up for a ranked game, one guy takes forever to hit "ready." I win the first round of Zomboni (Even after I got stuck in the wall) but during Pound of Flesh I get a "Lost connection to your opponent."
-The next THREE attempts to get a ranked match have me put into an empty game, forever waiting for 3 other players who never show up.
-Finally I got into another game, only to have it disconnect before it even loads.
-I try one last time, get into a game, start losing at Ramsterball and then get disconnected again.
I guess I can write off those achievements/unlockables. :P
I was thinking that we could have a bunch of PA guys join the ranked games online at the same time when the games start to die down. It's not guaranteed to give us everyone in one game, but it's better than nothing.
What's the best way to do it? How do you get keys to the vehicles?
Pawn shops generally sell keys to vehicles, but they're freaking expensive to the point where it's ridiculous. Get the keys to the SUV and just drive through the Silver strip repeatedly. It's even easier if you just screw the Case Files and go for a bad ending, since instead of doing missions, you can focus on zombie killing.

There's no way you can get it if you *don't* do this
What's the best way to do it? How do you get keys to the vehicles?
Grind up cash using the 3 gambling books + large slot machine in slot ranch method (you need 2 million), then go buy the SUV keys from whichever pawn shop has them, I forget which.
Now start the story over (since you get to keep the key), ignore the zombrex for katey mission (which gives you a 4 hour head start before the 72hrs begin), and go get the driving book from the americana casino's BBQ restaurant area. Now make a beeline for the SUV which is in the smaller irish themed casino in the center strip.
Long story short, drive constant circles around the strip and attempt to keep your speed up as faster car means better chance of kills instead of just knocking zombies down. Even with the book, the car will still break. So what you need to do is every 2500-3000 kills, save in the bathroom dead center of the strip, then manually reload the save. Not only does this reset the car's position, but it resets all the zombies that are probably beginning to thin out by that point.
Repeat until achievement get. Hope that helps.
If done correctly you should have a few in game hours to spare

If you get the two Bargaining books the SUV keys only cost $1.6 million :P

yea but you need to spend $6million for that stupid achievement, so...
Oh god, I cannot beat these girls with the swords. And it looks like this game is still too new for GameFAQs help.
Uhh how do I beat them?
a) Focus on one and ONLY one.
b) Use the
knife gloves
combo weapon.
c) Bring some food and/or drink some cocktails in the vicinity.
Honestly, what I did was equip the
knife gloves
combo weapon and run around until they attacked, moved in for 2-3 hits, rolled away, ran away, waited for another attack...and so on - your basic Psycho killer combo.
After about 5 or 6 attempts over 3 nights I finally got it shortly after I read your post. Focusing on only one really helped.
My weapon choices weren't a problem, but bringing enough health was. Those bitches really can pin you to the ground and take of 6-7 bars of health easily. After this happens once, all you have left is Booze to heal with and you start vomiting starting the chain all over again... ugh.
I also could not figure out how to dodge/roll, as it turns out you don't get that ability until lvl 22 and everything I read online said lvl 16. I was only lvl 19 fighting those girls. Running away from them without the dodgeroll is fucking hard. Chuck is sooo slooooow.

Right before you go up the stairs to the club, there's a LMG in the reception to the left of the stairs. There's also a shotgun in the club before you enter the doors to trigger the cutscene behind a counter. Continuous fire on one of them meant that the fight took maybe.. 45 seconds and they didn't get near me at all. I brought a quickstep, so I could move around with them not coming close at all, but I barely moved.
To sum up: The game gives you the tools you need near the fight. Also, quickstep.

On the girls with the swords:
Shotgun is even easier. Aim, move backwards and fire. You shouldn't need to do anything else and easily win. Two of them should do the trick.
Okay what gives. I got all the toys for Katey that are in the OP, yet I haven't gotten the achievement. Is there anything not in the list she needs, or does it just activate on the final dose?
Edit: Nevermind. I'm the Greatest Dad Ever.
Gotta 'examine' Snowflake after he's in the room. I assumed it took affect when he entered.
This may have been addressed already (I'm only up to page 24 of this thread) but in Overtime mode:
Why did TK have me grab all that shit? Like the labcoat, the crate of queens and the USB drive? I don't think it came into play at all during the final fight and really just seemed like busy work/emulating Overtime mode from DR1 without having a good reason to.

I think he just wanted to fuck with you.
It's been established that the guy is a gigantic asshole.
So I rented the game, and beat the whole story in single player. And I thought it was great, but not worth buying until it was on sale for a bit cheaper.
I just got done playing it in co-op with my buddy for a few hours. Holy shit.

I said the same thing. It was fucking pointless. Like, maybe the incriminating photograph I can understand. Maybe if that USB drive had something important on it... but what the fuck does he need a damn Gift Basket and a Lab Coat for? It really did feel like they said "Well, we have *no* ideas, but DR1 Overtime mode had you gather all this shit, so umm, let's do that? I guess? Oh, and don't forget the battle where we take your inventory away!"
Edit: Also that video is insanely great. And where the hell is the yellow Kill Bill jumpsuit from?

TK just wanted you to grab some things for him. He's a greedy, self-interested, faux-elite motherfucker who wants to make you scuttle around in zombie-infested hallways doing stupid things for him -- half because they're things he wants, but half because they're sycophantically stupid things to risk one's life for. It's part of his revenge to make Chuck do the equivalent of scrumming around in the muck and groveling before he kills him in an exaggeratedly elaborate way. Makes sense to me, I guess.
Keep in mind TK wasn't exactly expecting a final fight at all. Chuck certainly wasn't supposed to escape his bindings, TK was just an idiot and left him the opportunity. The stuff was probably supposed to provide him a plan C for getting all the money he wanted, either from FacelessEvilCompany or the highest bidder.
My PC has been busted for a little while now, and my friend (who is now awesome) gifted me this game on Steam as an incentive to fix it.
Buying the last component I need on the way home from work and then its DR2 co-op tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime.
I am super excited.
And, when you get completely tired of bullshit game mechanics, you can grab a trainer and play it as you want to (freeze time and kill zombies for the next 4 hours! WEEEE!)

I am actually one of the people who thinks that the DR game mechanics are a stroke of genius.
So, yknow. Maybe.
What kind of mods are out there so far anyway? If any?

The one I have that I like is that it gives 400% endurance on all weapons, +50% spawn rate on zombies, and drops all the fun weapons in the safehouse.
I found it on the Something Awful forums. I kinda wish he made a version without all the items. The increased density of zombies makes it a lot more fun.
Looks like the progress of the kill 1000 zombies in a certain way achievements carries over between playthroughs. At least I just unlocked the melee one while my kill counter was below 1000.
I've seen some talk about DLC in this thread. On the PC version the only things available are a free and a paid psycho pack. Is there any more available on consoles?

I'm assuming the free version allows you to play coop with someone who has the paid version (ie someone who has access to the paid costumes). As far as I know the console versions currently have 1 pack that can be bought (psycho) and 4 "free patches"; psycho, soldier, sports, ninja.

Even though I have no intention of buying any of it, it's nice that they're releasing the DLC for PC at the same time as consoles.

Supposedly, but I've noticed a lot of the "across multiple playthrough" achievements tend to be somewhat buggy whether that's really true or not.
Yeah, as are all the achievements for wearing all the clothes, entering all the stores etc. Just wish the zombie killed totals were as well :x
