I could never really get into the first DR, the combat always felt really sluggish and unfun to me. I guess that's kind of the point, but still...
I played a little of the demo for DR2 last week, and it felt almost like the same game.

DR2 is out yeah, Castlevania comes out next week
Capcom release the same game twice?
UNPOSSIBLE.
I know, I know, it took me by surprise, too.
I was just hoping they would make the combat a little more fun and less...
"ungh... Ungh... UNGH..."
I'm not looking for Dynasty Warriors here, but gimme a little something...

Did you combine an assault rifle and a wheelchair?
Doh
I guess I'll just wait until it comes out and if it gets good reviews then, no big deal
You probably just needed to give it more time. The control scheme took real getting used to and the saving and leveling was kinda wonky but one fully understood the game fucking rocked.
Carrying extra materials to find a workbench somewhere seems like it might be more of a hassle than it's worth. But again, I only played the demo version of the prequel episode they released on Live.

Also, Beatmania had Castlevania music.

(it was also in DDR at some point)
like
really
If it looked terrible, that would actually get people talking about it. The gameplay video makes it look like one of a slue of other games that have come out in the past four or five years. No, at this point, it just looks generic.
And let's not forget, no draculas.
no. draculas.
Saw a few vampires in the video and theres that third 'mysterious' lord of shadow.
But this is fun
That's the difference between it and other generic God of War rip-offs like Dante's Inferno and that Conan game a couple years back
Games don't have to be particularly original to excite me (because what is anymore?), but if they are fun and polished I can probably dig it. One of my big surprises last year was the Wolverine game, and that was essentially God of Wolverine.
This takes a lot of cues from God of War and Shadow of the Colossus, and from the demo at least they've formed a very fun product, so I'm okay with that.
Perhaps it was Vincent price? Even better if it was Christopher Lee.
No way in hell that it is the Prince of Darkness.
...Kinda hoping you fight the devil now as opposed to Dracula
We get this instead.
Happy about that.
so pretty sure he's in the game yes

One title name has come up about 12 times by several different posters.
God of War is one game
and I still fail to see how having similar combat to arguably the premiere action game out there is a bad thing
people seem to like it
why the big studios gotta be shying away from it?

However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
Installing this shit to the hard drive right now
I am anxious to kill Draculas
