Would you really pay 30 dollars to see the original trilogy again except this time the blaster shots really come at you?

I wouldn't pay thirty to own another set, but I'd pay 7 bucks or whatever to see it in a theater

Movies here were up to $9.50.

Now every movie (except 3D stuff) is $5 during the week any time, even new ones. Regular price on the weekends after noon.

Of course they compensated by jacking up the price of popcorn and drinks even more

For the fancy cinema you could pay up to $12 CAN for a ticket. That is not IMAX btw.

Socialist medicine comes with a terrible price. :(

a friend of mine won 5 sets of movie passes, complete with 2 small drinks and small popcorn, at her job

so far I have seen the town and easy A for free, and, unless she gets a boyfriend, harry potter is all mine

also, small drinks and popcorn? fucking huge, man, what the hell

The updside to high ticket prices is that you develop a finely tuned movie-dar.

I will help George Lucas buy some shit by going to see the original trilogy. Anytime I can see Star Wars on the big screen, I'm more than likely going to. It's Star Wars. It's on the big screen with big ol' speakers. What part of this is undesirable?

So The Force Unleashed 2 looks neat, but I'm so dissapointed in the protagonists name that I'm considering it as just a rental.

they don't hold up entirely well, they're still a great space opera, but as time goes by you have to be a fool not to see some of the problems

The original trilogy I can understand, even if it is supporting Lucas doing even more stupid awful shit to films which were perfectly fine to begin with and didn't need a bunch of badly integrated modern technology thirty years after the fact

    But the prequels?

I'm just waiting for when George Lucas dies and they sell the rights and someone new gets to make a Star Wars movie

    Because it's gonna happen

Fuckin' studios see the money that shit pulls in even when it's godawful, they'd be fools not to put something out

And hopefully someone talented will put out something great and pulpy and adventurey and we'll get a whole new era of awesome Star Wars movies

    Hopefully
