Yeah, this is what confuses me. If the post on the previous page is right, about the "economic loss" ratio, then surely all they could charge is the price of the dvds being downloaded. And even then, what if it was only like a few scenes from a dvd or something? Or if the file was corrupted?

I don't know how the law works with TV shows because Glee is on E4 which is free to air so As long as you are paying your TV license you are downloading something you've technically paid for. I'm not a lawyer though so I could be waaaaay off the mark.
Still illegal though, just don't know how you'd be prosecuted for it with the whole loss of earnings thing...

If you live streamed it it may not be an issue.
But if you download it it means you can watch it whenever you want.
