Am I the only one who is psyched about this? This is one of my favorite games of all time, and even better it's a good indication that Ubisoft hasn't forgotten about the sequel.
Man I hope this does well enough for them to get started on BG&E 2.
This. This is the only reason I'm buying this rerelease. I already own the game on PC, XBox, and Gamecube. I don't really need it again, but I'll buy it in the hopes that it spurs them to bring the series back for more.

Hopefully they already are working on it. I beat it on Xbox, but I'll be buying it again for the achievements and just to replay an awesome game.

One of the few games I've purchased multiple times and yet never played (Gamecube version, PS2 version, played the Gametap version, bought the Steam version).
Strong, not overly sexualized female lead, awesome story/atmosphere...
Not to be the naysayer of an awesome game, but isn't the PC version already HD? And like, ten bucks on Steam/GoG?
The PC version has no gamepad support and some graphical bugs. It's adequately functional, but nothing more.
not to mention god help you if you have a dual core CPU. Say hello to horribly desynchronized cutscenes.
On a not unrelated topic, anyone know how to deal with that? The only solution I've found is using a program that runs both cores full bore, which is obviously not preferable.
Had the Steam version for a long while now. When I first bought it all I had was a shitty laptop that won't run it, now I have a monster desktop that is too overqualified for it.
Maybe now I'll get to play it?

Finally I can kick my oXbox all the way to the curb. This was the one goddamn game I still wanted to play here and there that never worked on the 360.
EDIT: Wow, those screen shots are fantastic.

They are already working on it. They've been working on it for a while. Ubisoft confirmed a while ago that Ancel and a very small team are more or less taking as much time as they want to make whatever they feel like they need to.
Anywho, looks like I'll be playing a lot of last gen games next year...
If anyone doesn't know yet, Ubisoft are also releasing Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and Rayman HD Collections for PS3. 360 versions haven't been mentioned but I imagine they'll get them on it somehow, even if they release each game seperately on XBLA.
Sure, I bought it when it was new on the PC, bought it on Steam for $5 and bought it used for the PS2, but I'm pretty sure quadruple-owning it will be optimal.

All over it.
All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

Nuh uh, I'm all over it more.
And I'm one of the people that never got a chance to play it, so it'll likely be day one for me.
Edit: This will be the fourth time I've bought a copy. :P
Now I get to.
First HD SoTC and Ico and now this, can't wait.
This.
Every now and then I'll see it and think "Oh, I heard this was really good, I should get it" and then promptly forget about it.
This will be a reason to actually finally get it.

Updated textures, models, soundtrack...
I almost bought it last time it was on sale on Steam.
Now I'm glad I didn't.

That is a beautiful thing.

If the remake doesn't have problems like this, I'm all over it.
