I'm actually making progress in one of my schemes and I am wondering if i might be able to grab the attack/ability macro everyone seems to use. cause it's awesome and i suck at finding specific things on the internet. also other help as things happen, i am not very good at learning things on my own.

Ran my first Gamma World session on Friday.
This was my group:
Abraham Lincoln - Greatest President of the United States of America
(Dopelganger/Telekinetic) - Had his Penny Rifle and "THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION" (imagine a big log). Was a time addled security guard from who spent a decade watching the History Channel...and SyFY Channel. He's a bit messed up. Summons random Vice Presidents (Han Solo, etc.)
Fog Angst
(Engineered Human/Mind Cocerer) - Genetically created to be the ulitmate animu savior of humanity of all time. A fight among the scienst/fanboys making him caused a bad mix of MOE and hair cream and his/her current gender is rather unknown. Which turned out to make him/her even more perfect. The scientists killed each other in the cut off lab and He/her escaped into the Gamma Terra.
Wurlitzer Lowels
(Android/Giant) - A animted jukebox that gained concensiounes and built itself up with various bit of other sound systems, multimedia, robot parts, etc. Named after it's manufacuture and point of sale. Has a wagon, needs no horses. He IS a means of transport.
SPAM
(Rat Swarm/Empath) - A mass of rats who lived in a dinner for centuries living off the HOLY food stuff, and radiation. Eventually evolved into a hivemind like being and armed 'them' selves. Claimed a half working pick-up truck, and took the road in search of the long lost divine "twinkies".
Bumping this because I finished up my pieces for Mutants & Masterminds 3e last night:
One of the other artists dropped out so I ended up doing three more archetype pieces than I was originally slated for. I also have two half-page illustrations in the book.
Still playing in a bi-weekly game based on the 2e "Night Below" campaign. Last session I managed to roll two crits in a row to jump off a barge and then hit an enemy with my Leaping Blade Assault. It was pretty badass. 8-)

Look forward to leafing through M&M 3e, DMAC. :^:
In other news, in my game last night my dice hated me. For every attack roll above 10, I probably rolled 4 below. I couldn't chain more than a couple hits together, and I went rounds without hitting the PCs at all, and I don't think any of my encounter powers came off all night.
Oh well. Jen got me Pandemic for my birthday, and we've been playing that every night this week. Hooray for non-competitive boardgames I can play with my wife!
Although the whole non-competitive thing does make it harder to work out the rules for a game of strip-Pandemic
Man, why is it when you try and give your players a straight dichotomy choice, they always try and pick option 3?
Because Players are Cunts.
I say this as one myself. When pony was still DMing our games, we would constantly take no-win situations and turn them into win-wins if we could. Thankfully, he took it in stride.

oh my god you fucking guys
ugh
i don't believe in dice fudging or DM fiat or anything like that so when you shits would get fucking lucky or do things i didn't expect i would just be like
I have mixed feelings about DM fiat. In the campaign we're playing in, there were a few really tough encounters where the DM had the villains "knock out" players that would normally have died (which was fine since these villains were abducting people anyway) but it always feels a little like you're getting off easy.
A TPK in an ongoing campaign kind of sucks though. It's one thing to resurrect a dead character or replace them with a new recruit but losing the whole party pretty much kills the campaign. Encounters where characters start dying tend to go downhill rapidly too.
You could easily play with just the box set if that's what you're asking. There are two adventure/expansions coming out though: Famine in Far-go which comes out next week and Legion of Gold which comes out in February. It sounds like each of the expansions basically has an adventure and then more power sources and monsters.
StraightziHere we may reign secure, and in my choice,To reign is worth ambition though in HellRegistered Userregular

Alright, cool.
Is it any good though?
I'm considering running something for some of my real life friends, you see, and none of them really play D&D or are that interested in doing so, so I'm looking for simplifications, rather than my usual system of overly complex mutants and masterminds characters.
I'm also looking long and hard at Spirit of the Century, but I remembered that Gamma World existed the other day.
It's a blast as a one shot or for short campaigns. The rules are almost the same as D&D 4e which is fairly friendly for new players. The character creation is a big part of the fun. Having to reconcile bizarre combinations of the power sources is pretty entertaining and then weapons are just handled as "heavy two-handed melee" or "light one handed ranged" and then it's up to the players to decide what they want them to be. The random mutations/tech add a lot of craziness to the fights.
It definitely doesn't take itself seriously but as long as you're cool with that, it's a lot of fun.

Why don't i have a large horn that summons my friends to play table top games?
Wonder how much one would cost.
You might get the huntsman.
Screaming "Into Action" when he rolls initiative.
If i see him on i will tell him to contact you.

Cheap male warrior that seems pretty versatile as well.
Some cheap, cute looking goblins.

We had a good time and decided to keep playing for a while.
Just got the DM Kit and HotFL book and I'm looking forward to continuing the adventure.

Oh, apparently though my brother who has been DMing has been rolling saving throws against "until player's next turn" effects on the monsters.
:P
What a long fight.
How is Gamma World?
Is it self contained?
These are questions I have
Like not part of DnD 4th edition? yes, 7th edition is also independent of all previous editions of Gamma World.
also it looks pretty awesome.

That's... That's not the right thing to do. was it on purpose?
I wish it used a system that was more wacky and fun
It's really fun I think because it's easy to pick up and play with the 4E rules.
I wanted to talk about vincent price in this thread and not dungeon dice
Clawshrimpy?
this is Social Entropy FIRE AWAY
i'm tired of dice and character sheets that look like motherfucking tax forms, man
Can't even imagine thinking of Poe without Vincent Price. Or vice-versa.
I need to rewatch all the Vincent Price Poe movies again.
The Abominable Dr. Phibes is probably my favorite horror movie of all time.

and the sequel has probably one of my favorite things ever
