Alcohol tastes fantastic. Not sure I would bother with it if it didn't. I'd probably smoke weed or something.
I drink for a variety of reasons, only one of which is to get drunk. At this point in time I pretty much only drink while out at a pub and even then usually 1 to 2 beers with friends. I don't drink without company
I drink beer for the taste pretty much all the time. Well not all the time but 90% of the time I drink beer. I will drink certain cocktails for the same purpose. Actually I rarely drink to get drunk, it is kind of just a side effect.
Do you really think that alcohol tastes good? Like the actual substance - alcohol?

good alcohol has a nice complement of flavors, some of them subtle, some less so, and these flavors are all delightfully warm as they go down
