Dunno if it's just me but I went to the site and didn't see any postcard options in the correct size. Can anyone confirm it's there?

I will put in my order tomorrow. The directions are from last year and I think jakprints has modified the form since then.

I would like to reserve my number.... Here are a couple I would like, in order of preference.

    619
    808

    Thanks

Even though I didn't have a card last year, would my number still have an R?

#619 is available and now belongs to you. The R is only for people who did cards last year and are revising them for 2011. So, you won't need the R.

Can't wait for PAXEAST and I would like to get a number; is there a place to see what numbers are available or do we just ask for them?

Either way I'd like to reserve one of these numbers if they are available
    9001
    any number from 311 - 314

There will be a finalized checklist closer to the convention with the numbers people have but for now to be assigned one people are just asking.

I think right now we're just doing 3 digit numbers. Dave can be the final word on that. For now you've been assigned 311 though.

We're trying to stick with three digit numbers for the time being. This is to make the checklist easier to get through.

Just a suggestion - maybe set up a public google spreadsheet that lists all the people with their card numbers, have it so anyone can view it but only a few of you can edit it?

I suggested it to Dave but he has his reasons for the system that is in place. :)

I am pretty quick with assigning numbers and if I'm not near a PC then he is there to get my slack.

A checklist will be available for printing right before PAX. I prefer to have a few people distributing numbers to cut down on duplicates and give us a better idea of who is taking part.

Dave - with my suggestion, only you and Rdr would be able to actually input someone's name and attach it to a number. You could make the list itself public though, for viewing, so that anyone could look and see what numbers are free.

The potential issue is that someone would just make their card and pick a number without telling us. Dave is trying to keep an eye on all the cards being made within this thread so we can have proper checklists and such.

    262 x 258 300 DPI Image (for back):

    Ordering Instructions!
Step 1: Get Photoshop, Or Find a Volunteer

Obtain a copy of photoshop or commission someone to put the card together for you. Several people have volunteered to help out. Send me a PM and I will route you to one of our volunteers. The front image is 646 x 948 pixels (300 DPI) and the back image is 262 x 258 pixels (300 DPI).

Step 2: Download templates and font

Download the front template, back template, and font. Make sure the font is loaded before you open photoshop.

Template Version 1, Updated 1/12/2011: Front / Back / Font (London Between)

Step 3: Modify text and images on templates

Insert the necessary text and images to the front and back templates.

    Step 4: Choose badges

Choose six of the following badges on the front of the card. Do this by activating the group layer (such as Badge 1), then activating the particular layer you want. If you would like a badge that is not listed above, you can create it yourself and I will add it to the template. All of the badges are 100 x 100 pixel .PNG with transparency. If you have an image you would like turned into a badge but lack the tools, send me a PM.

    Step 5: Choose Attributes

Decide what you would like your stats to be from 1 - 20. Change the "X" to the appropriate numbers on the text layer, then select the associated bar from the image layer. You may roll, arbitrarily decide or use distribute the following template however you like: 20, 17, 14, 11, 10, 8, 3.

    Step 6: Choose Card Number

Let me know that you need a number and I will give you the next unused number.

Step 7: Create An Account On jakprints

    https://www.jakprints.com/account/entry.php

    Step 8: Create an order

First click on the blue Order tab in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Next under "Full Color Printing Orders" click the Place Order button.

You can use the following information as a template.

Name Your Project: Lastname PAX Cards 2011
    Promotional Code: PAXEAST11
    Product: Postcards
    Stock: 12pt Gloss Cardstock (heavy)

The closest postcard dimensions I can find on the Jakprints site is the "Postcards (2.75" x 4.25" / double-sided)" option. Is this the one I should chose?

Ah okay. I guess what me and Tweekinator were doing was thinking if you clicked "Full Color Printing" and went to Postcards that we'd see the size we wanted but this is what you see:
    2dsfreb.jpg

When in fact we need to follow your directions as they're specifically written and stop being dbags haha. I clicked Order and signed in then ya you can type in whatever dimensions.

    Thanks, Dave. :)
