Yeah, that's what I have found. Thor/scv/marine is really obnoxious against zerg. The fact that zerglings will not touch scvs if there are thors around means your scvs encircle the thors and my lings run around like damned idiots looking for an open spot. Sure you can tell all your zerglings to attack one scv at a time, but it'll take longer for you to do that than it will for the thors/marines to ruin your shit.

I am so happy that they're streaming these initial 4 early matches. That means I can actually watch some of them!

Alrighty people, I need a good TvZ build order to try out. Any suggestions? Please include the starting information and why you like it.

I have a flavor of the month build for you.

    10 Supply
    12 Rax
    13 Gas
    15 OC
15 Marine (Continue to pump marines)
    16 Supply
    Factory @ 100 gas
Reactor on Barracks at next 50 gas
    Swap when done
Make 4-6 hellions for harass (This alone can win games against an unprepared zerg)
    27 Armory
Another factory when you can afford it, tech labbed.
    Start pumping thors.

This works fairly well against ling/muta. You can even set scvs to auto repair and follow your thors around for maximum dickery.

Not as strong against all roaches, but still somewhat effective.

I usually push around 4 Thors, with marine and hellion support.

Don't be afraid to switch to siege tank/Thor if he gets mass roaches.

Thats why the (rare) Terrans I play are massing Thors. Roaches shut that down quick since they can hit repairing SCVs without having to run around now

I tried the build order tonight and won the game. My opponent did a FE and planted 3 spine crawlers. I waited for 8 Hellions with blue flame before attacking. Needless to say, that didn't work out. He cranked out 10 mutas and I got my turrets up and Thor out just as they arrived.

From what I observed on the build, I need to work on dropping the reactor and Armory on time. I grabbed the second gas just after building my second Factory. Once the expansion is up, I should be able to produce 2 Thors, 2 Hellions, 1 Medivac, 1 Viking, and 2 Marines per cycle. Does this sound about right?

Any replays of the build for me?

it's sadly not that awesome. it just ends in the infestor being target fired and dying in 3 seconds.

i parasited 7 carriers once. it took the opposing player about 3 seconds to target fire and kill every infestor then all my hydras and corruptors. sad sad sad.

parasiting a mothership might be kinda sweet tho.

Really for the amount of content you get it's well worth it imo. It's only 20$(15 if you got season 1) and you get like over 60 sets some of which are bo5 or bo7 for the finals. Higher quality VODs this season are even nicer, they are really good looking videos.

If you're quick enough you can pull it off on a group of HTs and it works well. Fungal the group with one, parasite another storm the group. All gone.

its better when the person puts everything they have into those units and you take them all [and it is pre-duration patch]

i remember one time in a 2v2 i was harassed literally from minute 3 to minute 10, we were against double terrans who went double reapers -> double banshees like the bags of dicks terrans are

i managed to crawl back to the top and my friend scanned one guy's base and saw 12 cruisers moving out

just as my 12th infestor popped.

that was possibly the funniest turn around ever

I think I'm finally getting the hang of ZvZ up in the platinum division. All-in zerglings still gives me trouble because I'm a dumb dumb, but I've won a few standard style matches (terrible macro notwithstanding).

I just won one that went from Zergling/Muta into a Roach transition because the guy pumped nothing but Hydras. All spawning 30 roaches and just walking into his base like a boss.

It's really the argument of what one is paying for, considering other tournaments with a lot of content are free(granted not really vods, but they get youtubed and such).

I had/have S1, and in the beginning it was abysmal, but they steadily got better. Remember the beginning and kind of all through out, there were tons of technical errors(the sound errors, crashing comps), bad observing, super low quality vids/vods.

    I'm very happy with S2.
