Oh my very rare is so nice, such a nice Spiritual Core Paragon, so very nice indeed, such a boost, such a nice boost.
Hate you so much

I'll probably end up getting one through pure inertia. Over time, you can't help but get enough components to end up with a very rare, I guess. I just don't feel a pressing need to get one, though.

Assuming you're playing the character somewhat regularly, it seems pretty likely you'll have the stuff for the very rare upgrade by the time you have enough notices to actually build it.

There's some bug where if you re-run the strike target there's a chance you'll get a second notice and bonus merits instead of credit towards the "helped run strike targets" badges. I tried to earn credit for the badge last week, instead got a second notice.
Do I look like the sort of man who'd go and find unsuspecting Japanese schoolgirls in short skirts and white panties and ask them if they want to see my "Cthulu Special"?
I like getting paid but I hate that with work I have almost no time/energy to play during the week. No TF yesterday, probably no TF tonight, and Catface remainds pathetically unbuilt.
Everyone who got it said they did their first run early on Tuesday. The most likely explanation is that someone reset the clock on it sometime Tuesday afternoon and who knows if that'll ever happen again. Was their first switch and all.

anyone on blue side on virtue now? Looking to beat up on babbage in boomtown and need bodies.
On EpitaphZero.
Or not, three of us took him down. Wasn't as ugly a fight as I remembered.
Ok so I've my little William Sherman to level 24 and am about to do the respec trial. Before I use the respec I'd really appreciate any input on this build I have for him.
William Sherman: Level 50 Magic Mastermind Primary Power Set: Thugs Secondary Power Set: Poison Power Pool: Flight Power Pool: Leadership Power Pool: Speed Power Pool: Concealment Ancillary Pool: Chill Mastery
You do not speed the Lady Grey you goddamn heathen. You crank it up to +2, murder damn near everything you see, and still finish up in an hour 15 like i did last night LIKE A MAN.
Yea, LGTF can be done quick, but it's not one to 'speed'. You can really only cut short two missions, and that's by going out of your way to fail them, after they're half done anyways, and that just rubs me the wrong way. I guess you could port to the end of the last mish, but that one's the most entertaining kill-fest in the game.
I would imagine people would, but everyone that could help is busy getting incarnate shit, which has nothing to do with AE.
If someone DOES wind up doing it, I have many characters I don't want to bother leveling solo.
God, I hate that. AE is great in theory, but so much of it seems geared towards levelling farms.
I don't like how they implemented AE. It really doesn't integrate with the game at all. It's just this weird little world that has nothing to do with the game world itself.

I used to suffer through the contact leveling just so I could have someone to buy and sell inspirations in the various zones.
Guess it is easy enough to pop out to ouroboros and fill up these days.
Was trying to use AE to find marcone boss, whatchamahoolie spirit masks, and carnie pets to finish badges there instead of having to scour zones for hours. Was farming or badge hunting considered "abuse of AE"?
Plus, we ran LGTF on virtue last night, didn't cheese any of the missions, completed around an hour and was very smooth running. Had a couple blasters, two controllers, brute, dominator and two scrappers. Lost one of the scrappers halfway through. My illusion/kinetics controller performed pretty well, even with all the low level IOs and empty slots.
The extra fun part to that was hopping on the mastermind and catching a rikti invasion right afterwards and managing to collect all the badges and accolade in one go.
I use AE for rare salvage so I don't have to buy it for whatever insane price it's going for, 4mill+ at the moment

Not when my rolls are Crap of the Hunter, Crap of the Hunter, Passing of the turtle and every other single worthless recipe out there. The City of RNG actively hates me and as such I don't use anything that's a random roll (except Hami-O's from raids and sometimes not even them.)

my dominator's going to get out of praetoria before too long, and thinking about going from 20-40 conventionally is giving me the fear
The last few issues have put in 4-5 different, largely very very good, arcs in the 20-30 range, and now with tips there's good reason to run normal missions for xp.

AE is set up that you don't get credit for any badges other than the Architect specific badges. Paying off debt, taking damage, making inf, killing things, none of these count towards their badges if you are in AE.

Plus they added a Nurse at every hospital that sells Inspirations now.
I remember when we used to do fun stuff when we had 8-man teams
Now it's all "hey let's spend 30 levels doing the same mission in AE woo"
Scoot, I don't think we were asking for that. Tbh, everytime I've gone on recently, there weren't even 8 people logged in. Which I thought what he was askin for
"There's three people in the channel, can AE leveling still work?"
If I logged in now, and there were 7 people runnin real missions I could join, I wouldn't sit there and go "let's do AE farming!"
Honestly outside of farming the best way to make money is just to play the game. Do lvl 50 content get a minuscule chance to get a purple. Do mid level content and sell the salvage you get, do tips earn Alignment Merits buy stuff to sell. Almost all of my money comes from doing that, just playing.

Team with these bastards when they're runnin 50 content.
Almost every time I've done this (even more so If it's with a really low level dude) I'll come out with some insane recipe. That will at least net you 2 mil.
Also, low level magic salvage is still selling for a pretty penny. at least 100k for each thing.
Regarding how to double/triple/whatever your initial figure, that I'm not sure of. The market's pretty much died down now and gone back to normal.
I think Candy Canes are still selling for 100,000 each.
100 mil isn't SUPER poor. If you're not super bothered, just run tips. You'll get the occasional awesome drop and the villain merits can go to lotgs or whatever.
