Back to 100m inf being poor. Is that really poor, or enough for a fair build?
Just asking because if it is true, then I am mostly destitute. Raided 20 chars and sold a respec for 200m and have 276m on one char. Next best is a corruptor over on Freedom that I left 68m on. Still need to decide which characters will get a decent build. Thinking my energy/invuln brute, then next either the dark/dark corruptor or the illusion/kinetics controller...
Guess who forgot they were NOT going for spiritual and actually needed that hero 1 blood for the next alpha piece? Oh well, four shards longer to get to level shift.
I have a hard time gauging current prices because I pretty rarely buy large numbers of build components anymore, but I imagine you could put a barebones perma build together on 300m or so.
It's not like it's hard to make money, though. Just do some tip missions and build'em progressively with a-merits.

You could build a pretty decent shit kicker out of standard IOs for 100 mil I think. You're not going to get any set bonuses or any of that good shit, but they'll still be good enough to run all the content. With the incarnate stuff you can make a pretty sweet character without worrying much about money at all. Having said that I just dicked around for half an hour and made 100 million, so it's not so hard.

This is entirely true, I teamed with him for 45 minutes, nearly got two levels out of it and he wasn't even trying.

Kinda reminds me of that earth/TA controller I made. All control, almost literally no damage.

I was thinking maybe recharge. Maybe I can just go perma Full Auto. On the otherhand, I don't even have Hasten right now because I don't really need it. When I respec I'll be adding M30 in I think, so I'll have all the AoEs in AR.
Edit: Also, I am enjoying the hell out of my lowbie Fire/Traps Corruptor in Praetoria. Probably be ready to move to RI or Paragon by the end of the weekend.

We did some AE arcs tonight. Like, not farm arcs! And it was good.
So, I'm thinking we should make this an AE week! I know tons a people got tons of arcs that never get play, and it's always tough to ask 7 random dudes "hey, come play my arcs so I can get tickets and rankings and emotional and creative validation" so I'm asking it now for you. Plus, this week's WST is Psyche and Silver Mantis and I don't think people will be wanting to play those as often as they did LGs and the like.
If you got an arc you wanna play this week go ahead and post it here, or go make one, and then post it here. And if you don't have an arc then you can just come play them with us and trade tickets for criticism. Not really setting a time for it, but I'm usually around from 7-10 EST on weekdays.
Here's what I got going on:
"This Is How It Ends" - alternate universe tale of what happens when superheroes fail to save the world. Highbie, lots of AVs.
"Spinning the Web" - A while back I made two arcs inspired by the Buffyverse concept of some demonic races not being all-terrible. I unpublished the first one, cause it's the first arc I ever made and it kinda sucked, but I can probably sum it up pretty quick if anyone wants to try the second. Mostly highbie, fair number of AVs.
Also tonight I ran my internet-famous "Death of a League" arcs where you kill heroes, especially child heroes, which we could run again later if anyone wants. Mid-to-high level, lots of EBs.
So, what you guys got?
P.S. Terrible, one comment about your mish tonight, one thing I did when I used that map is had a lot of fights along the way with notable characters and dialog. Helps break it up and keeps that long map from being a slog.
Noted. Truthfully I haven't touched that map in a while and haven't done it on anything besides solo or with a small team. I'll make some alterations tomorrow, though.
I have one, without logging in I'd have to say that title is "Rescue the President" or you could just search for robziel and find it. I should finish that other one that I already wrote though.

I have one as well. Should be soloable and I think there are a few bugs (minor things like getting dialog to fire correctly. Everything runs though.), Circle of Thorns are the main enemy with a couple of unique EBs and an ally to help out.
It's my first, and so far only, published arc so it's not to hard to find or very good.

Well, they only have so many 50 TFs, and every week they do one that people can't get shards by doing, they're gonna bitch.
In i20 shards will be gettable when you're exemped. IIRC it's "anything that is your (actual) level or higher." Or something to that effect. Maybe it's just TFs? I 'unno.
I can't get motivated to level this lowbie dominator and it's driving me nuts

What exactly is a WST? Weekly Strike Force? As in, one nominated to get shards for Incarnates? Hmm.
Icy Assault is okay. It's not great, and it's not Energy. You get some solid blasts (less amazing with the animation time tweaks) in Bolt, Blast and BiB, a solid PBAoE with Icy Sword Circle, and Frost Breath is a passable cone. I think it's 3 tics, like Fire Breath, instead of 2 tics like the Blaster version of Frost Breath. Could be wrong, though.
You also get Power Boost, which is all kinds of useful, and Chilling Embrace which can work with some builds, not with others. Between PBed Chilling Embrace and another slow aura (like Hot Feet for example), they're not going anywhere. Of course, you could just drop an AoE immobilise for a similar effect...

I started a mind/fire dom and lost interest at level 9. Started an ice/fire dom and that one seems more interesting.
Of course I also have been spending time on a demon/pain MM and just started a shield/ss tank.
Then if I get bored there is inf, badges and shards to earn.
Have managed to gain a couple shards when doing +2 missions.
Silver Mantis man! That's fun, Sister Psyche not so much, I dread the fact that I have to run at least one of them.
