I am not as good as pretty much everyone on this side of the site, but I just want to post what I've done in the past two days. I haven't drawn in I don't know how long. Feels good to be doodling and stuff again, especially when I draw things fast and send the image via Xbox camera to friends while in a chat party (as you will see by the "Jawa" messages on some of these). I love hearing chuckles on the other side of the mic.
This one that isn't spoilered...I want to redraw it on a larger piece of paper and frame it for my santee from the G&T Secret Santa. Have any suggestions on markers for coloring and if there is anything else I can do to preserve it?
I know Rick Grimes looks terrible. I just sketched it fast and then inked it with a fine point sharpie. I probably mentioned this before in one of my like three posts on Art forum, but I am terrible at drawing people. This is just my sketchbook stuff, so I am sure if I worked harder it could look a little better.
Obilex: That's looking pretty good. I think the red on the knees is too strong, though, considering the lightsabers aren't casting light anywhere else on the figure. You should either dull it down, or put more glow elsewhere.
I think the best thing for you to do right now, would be some really heavily referenced stuff, preferably quite realistic. E.G. do a walk, to the point where it's professional, which will probably mean referencing it 100%. I think that will help you a lot lot lot more right now than doing acting pieces like this.

I agree whole heatedly, unfortunately the school I'm in doesn't seem to get that cramming most of their beginning 3d animation stuff into 11 weeks doesn't really give much time to learn anything.
yea, face is 100% from photoref and I spent the majority of my time on it. Originally, it was JUST a portrait study, and ended at his neck, but I ended up scaling it wayyy down last minute to make room for everything else.

No one told me that seductive naked ladies were this fun to draw
I know the hands are attached to the wrist at the wrong point, among various other things, but I can't be bothered to fix it right now, anatomy be damned.

Thanks! I just read your tutorials, and I'm definitely going to put them into practice on my next painting. I'd never even thought about messing with those buttons.

the purple was less toxic on my laptop screen. I will dial it back when I finish this. Either way, I have little regard for your retinas.
