Recently I got into D&D. I always saw my other people playing it but never had the nerve to play it. So I ended up buying the red box and so far I'm having all types of fun. Now I see that Gamma World is being released and it looks like a lot of fun. Is anyone else excited about it? Sorry for a generic question.

I went out and bought Gamma world the other day. I find it an excellent alt game for when your regular group wants a change. I uses the same rules as D&D 4e, but the character gen is very different. It has a casual and irreverent feel to contrast with D&D(&most rpgs). The CCG angle is ass, my group will probably house-rule something to replace it. I never played the original, but if my group is any indication, the nostalgia factor is huge.

here is a thread I found
