I wouldn't really know what to do against an even-bases Terran who tech-switched to BCs in the late game. Feedback only does 200 damage if they're at full energy (out of 550 health. Plus they can clear it with Yamato), Stalkers are kinda meh against them, and Void Rays might not even be cost-effective anymore (especially if the BCs have armour upgrades). Plus building Stalkers lets his Marauders burn through my army.
Hm.. The thing about diamond. You can't get promoted any higher. So any players that are leaps ahead of other diamonds are stuck there playing against the lower diamonds. And I'm stuck being matched against them. Also, fuck 4 gate.

Does it work that way, though?
I thought matchmaking was based on a hidden rank and points / leagues had nothing to do with it.

I played more ladder last night heyaaaaaaaaa
2 games is all, both pvt. lost and won. lost to a rush, won a big ol' macro game which is how I'd prefer it to go down.\
also was listening to classical music during the games and holy shit that's perfect. I've had cds I borrowed from my uncle but I never copied them or spent much time with them. gonna try and get em all on my computer so I have variety.
Hey guys I sent Day9 a PM on the TL forums and he never replied to me, I am getting worried
Maybe I should keep asking him, and remind him a couple times a day. Then I should find his email and keep him updated there too. Day9 is so cool, I know we will be the best of friends, we will be so good together.
keep trying. I have traced his IP and retrograded my motherboard to hack into his address, so I should be able to coordinate a GUI to take a screenshot and send it to you. That way you can mail your hair to his apartment personally.

not that I expect to run into this too much myself, but how can a terran respond to baneling carpet bombing?
boxer did great micro against it but I guess you just say goodbye to the tanks?
it's so effing cool
Is it even efficient to use banelings against tanks? I haven't done the math but that sounds like a losing proposition for the zerg by about a 40% margin or so. The solution (if that's true) would be to just macro up.
Just checked; it takes ~8 banelings to destroy a tank. That's a cost of 400/200, which is probably going to get you a sizable net loss even if you take out a few nearby marines or marauders along with the tank.

the banelings are hitting more than one tank, and they can also draw friendly fire tank shots, increasing their effect

They shouldn't be hitting more than one tank; most Terrans I've seen spread their tanks out against Zerg.
I suppose if it's an issue of tanks being vulnerable once the bioball retreats, the solution is either to get vikings or to spread out your bioball.
I might actually try some ghosts in that case; sniping down a few of the overlords might deter this kind of thing. If you can get enough DPS on those overlords as they come in you'll turn things right around—they're loaded with expensive banelings, and that's his supply besides.
Also, does anyone have any PvP recommendations or high-level replays I can look at? I feel like I've got my PvZ under control, and my PvT is at least average. Against another 'Toss, though, I seem to always get hosed. I'm just not sure what I ought to be doing; I hate doing that colossus crap that seems to be so strong.

Not to mention the tech switch cutting into the size of his main army and giving you a good window to attack if you're scouting and macroing well.
yeah this was pretty much the defining moment of my year to this point
not only because it was some fat kid but but also because thats the worst male undead dance i've ever seen
he just jumped up and down randomly flailing his arms.
still, he has guts to do that in front of that many people.
Doesn't understand what happened, keeps trying to dance. Finally settles onto the floor, gives up.
Everything about it was so sad.
that does sound very sad =(
No commentating, sadly, but I know there is a crappy vid of game 1 on youtube.
it wasn't that way, it was more of teachers-having-sex-with students type situation.
which has been true across many, many ages. of course, the greeks were encoraging cathoic priest style, but hey, ya know.
Joe's Stream.
In my defense, they are right next to each other on the keyboard.
Also, if you aren't happy with the replays on that link, you can try this one: http://us.media.blizzard.com/blizzcon/2010/replays/blizzcon_2010_sc2_tournament_replays.zip

Because your hidden rank is higher than your points? Or maybe because you can win if you just believe in yourself?
