Wow, I used to think of Superman/Batman as kind of a dumping ground in recent years, but that issue seems kind of great and people have been cautiously optimistic about the DC One Million story coming up.
Guarding the Globe #2, in which Australian hero Kaboomerang is recruited, the Guardians stave off an invasion of Atlantis and accidentally become its monarchs, and the Lil' Guardians defeat the Viltrumites. But at what cost?
X-Factor #210, in which Rictor and Rahne visit an obstetrician, and Monet performs psychic brain surgery.
Haunt #10, in which the villain is a lot more interesting than the protagonist. Warning, mildly NSFW.
Seriously, now that the hero's no longer acting like the lovable bastard he was when the series kicked off, I'd much rather read about the hideously scarred supervillain commando, and his disinterested girlfriend.
OK my MotW is getting both the Thunderbolts: Cage and Deadpool volume 5 hardcovers I ordered from Amazon 5 days before they were supposedly available (October 27), AND the fact they came so quick even using the free shipping option.
Lord knows I'm not complaining about getting them so fast but it is weird just the same.

You must've accidentally checked the precognitive delivery option, which allows amazon's network of psychics to place your orders before you actually make them.
They also took the liberty of ordering you a large box of condoms and a handgun because, well, you'll see.

Well both the hardcovers had already come out in the direct market 2 weeks ago. But I will say I'm glad Amazon will be my only option for getting trades starting next year if their service is this good.

I mean, I like that Damien was throwing out the alien zingers, but is there any real reason why he doesn't like aliens? Or is it just Damien not liking anyone that isn't Damien again?
So after randomly deciding to click into <Graphic Violence> and reading this thread, I decided to go pick up the new Carnage #1. I haven't bought a comic book in probably 13 years.
Who are those two floaty guys that show up outside the armored car, one of them is red, the other blue.. Are they new for the series or someone I should read up on so I understand WTF they are doing there.
Honestly the only reason I even went out and bought it, is because of the praise of the art, and the art teaser at the beginning of this thread. And I am not disappointed by the art , and the story seems pretty cool too.

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.

He's an Al Ghul, something about him being xenophobic doesn't really surprise me.

Batman and Robin 15 was awesome, and I am just incredibly psyched for 16 to hit.
But my real MotW was DCU Legacies #6. Best issue of that series so far, and the legion backup was actually pretty funny
Every incarnation of the legion, including multiple time periods for some of them, show up in smallville and fight over who gets Clark until he just gets fed up and walks away. Giffen illustrates.

They're new. Everyone is as in the dark as you are.

Thanks that was what I was looking for, wasn't able to find anything on them via google.

I noticed that the two mystery men were shooting some kind of red webbing, this makes me believe that the company they work for may be reverse-engineering the Carnage symbiot for bio-technological advances. That may be why the robotic hand even gave Tony the finger, it may be that since the technology to make it was based off the Carnage symbiote, it's inherantly malevolent.

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.
More a timeline question, and semi relevant cause Deadpool made the motw.
Was re-reading Cable/Deadpool, was Ryan Reynold's already in works for the Deadpool character during the era of Cable/Deadpool, he's poked fun at a few times.
"I look like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Sharpei!" , etc

Also, it's not hard to imagine one of those "peak human condition" types feeling insecure next to someone who well exceeds human potential.
Plus, 10 year old boys always pick on the girls they like, duh.

ALWAYS.
I enjoyed it, but I have one question
possible spoilers

C'mon.
Also, I'm going to start commenting on things in comic pages without actually reading the text. That seems fun.

What do you think it means? An offshot of Better Homes and Gardening?

"Okay. This is an emotional moment for all of us. I know that. But let's not make snap judgments, please. This is clearly an important species we're dealing with, and I don't think you or I or anybody has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them."

Just sticks out much more on the re-read.
But at that time it was nothing more than a rumor/nerd wishful thinking
