It's in Scorpion Gulch, precisely in the small depression where you appear when you fast travel to the area. It should be around one of the rocks. It took me a while to find because of how blind I was. It would probably help if you take Rex with you

I don't think I've been there yet, but I think I have an idea where. Is it just out the broken gate and down the path from where the quest begins? I noticed a bunch of scorpions in the area but I didn't travel far enough to activate it on my map.
Why is it my favorite games are buggy piles? Maybe it's because that's a result of how much cool shit they're trying to do (and mostly succeed at)

Outside of having companions run off on their own into the sunset and an occasional crash (frequency seems to happen mostly when I try to close a trade window), I haven't really run into any bugs. This is on the PC, though. I've heard the 360 version has a lot of issues.

I just read the IGN review for this game. It spends nearly the whole time complaining about bugs and issues and how the additions aren't as noticeable as the issues. The one area they didn't really have any complaints is combat.

But then again, IGN I guess.

Stand up comedian in Atomic Wrangler faces the wrong way for his act.

Also 'NCR are swarming in here lately looking for booze and strange" except I never see any NCR in freeside ever, and there isnt any strange in the AW outside of what you get in that quest, and I dont think thats the strange hes talking about.

Stuff like this they really need to fix. When you say theres loads of people coming into a town and messing things up, they cant be invisible people.

You could always up the base movement speed with the GECK, though that might make non-VATS combat tricky. Unfortunetily it looks like they took out some of the strings and formulas that allowed for speed to scale based on the actor's attributes like in Oblivion, which sucks since being able to zip around with high Agility would be a real nice bonus.

Well, you don't zip around with high agility, but agility does affect movement speed now. There's also that Travel Light perk, but even then you never run faster than horses like in Oblivion.

The number one reason why I hate the Legion is because of those damned booby traps they leave all over the place.

    Things I can't wait for:

    Official/Unofficial patches
    Script Extender

The script extender would open up a whole myriad of possibilities for this game. And the patches...well, that's obvious. That's pretty much the only way I'd use the bullet-time mod, which I feel would probably work well with this game.

It's that whole "End of civilization" thing. Plus caesar pronounced that way is a clever play on words that amounts to basically the same meaning. I like it. my fallout tradition is picking melee with a side skill like bigguns/energy/explosives (though i guess its just energy/explosives) to soften up the heavy hitters and/or kill anyone doing real ranged damage and then wade in with the close combat weapon of choice, you still get the perks of selling off most guns and ammo for ludicrous money, you may just have to carry an extra missile launcher

Someone told me the way the Legion pronounces Caesar is actually how the name is meant to be spoken. I don't know if that's true, but if so it's interesting how all his men pronounce his name "Kai-tsar" while everyone else pronounces it the way the modern world does. Obsidian has done their history?

I really don't think the ability to loot everything is worth the terrible animations and overall clunkiness of the game. Not to mention how awkward real time combat always is. There definitely needs to be some kind of engine overhaul or new engine alltogether, because the potential atmosphere of future Fallout games will suffer big time if the need to loot shit constantly keeps bogging it down. Maybe they need to take a page from Mass Effect 2 or RDR or something.
I think their working on their original series The Elder Scrolls. Perhaps better or new engine to be looked for there.

Heh, I just thought of a retarded idea for them to hire Bioware for Fallout: Spin off. But in the style their doing, not Bioware's ME style.

They can always do something akin to Fallout Tactics : Brotherhood of Steel in the ME2 style.

Actually now that I think about it, they really should do something like that with Fallout Tactics.

Quick question - does having Boone along make all Legion types instantly hostile? I'm planning on fucking with them soon enough, but want to do it on my terms, not Boone's.

If there is one thing Boone is not into, it's not shooting Legionaries. I tried to visit Caesar and headed to Cottonwood with Boone, but he just couldn't stop shooting the guys even though I had the mark of Caesar and they were originally going to let me through. I had to reload my save and tell him to wait in Novac.

So I installed the menagerie mod (I finished the game, chumps!) and now my rag-tag team of Misfits just annihilates the crap out of everything. I think the best decision I made was to load Veronica up with heavy weapons. Now everything dies in a hail of missile fire or just normal fire. Interesting, I think AI takes armour and so on into account - she won't use Annabelle on anything except robots. Everything else just burns to death horribly.

/edit By the way, the Decimation thing that the legate does that Mr New Vegas talks about? Real. Actually happened. The consul Marcus Crassus did it to his legions who fled Spartacus back in... i dunno, 50BC or whatever.

It's been bugging me that lots of people are saying "They're pronouncing Caesar wrong!!!" Go learn some Roman history!

However, there was a sole Legion recruit in the camp that said "Hail see-sar!" when I passed. I found that amusing for some reason.
