So I'm on Firefox and it won't let me edit my wishlist rankings at all.
Have you made sure to log in? You have to log in to the store and Community seperately. If you use the Steam client, it should log into both automatically.

Oh, there we go.
Funny thing: I bought Borderlands at release and never bought any of the DLC.
Now the Steam page for Borderlands GOTY is telling me I already own it. o_O
Should I reinstall and see if I magically get all of the DLC packs? :P
well the reality of the angrylinuxgeek thread title is not nearly as funny as I was hoping for. Way to get my hopes up steam thread.
edit - jclast nope. i only put 5 things in mine
Then you're not entered. Somebody posted a little ways back that you need 10 games in your list to be in the contest. I just didn't know if there was a box to check somewhere or something.

Brainpipe is more fun than what it's description and video on the store page make it look. Don't know how much play I'll get out of Galcon or Quantz. Gridrunner seems like it'll be up my alley and I've wanted to grab Protogalaxy for a while.

You won't have the DLC without having bought it. It's just that Steam treats the regular and GOTY editions as the same in some ways. You can always see what DLC you have for a game by opening its properties from your games list.
If you decide that you want the DLC, there's a pack with all of it, but personally I'd wait and see if it the DLC gets discounted during the holiday sale. It was half off during the summer sale.

Yeah, I know there's a DLC pack, I mentioned earlier in the thread that it wasn't on sale.
The DLC pack can't be added to my wishlist, and since I already own vanilla Borderlands I can't add GOTY to my wishlist either because Steam thinks they're the same thing.
Fuck your stupid sweepstakes, Steam, leave this kind of shenanigans for D2D.

Anybody willing to make a trade on Alpha Protocol? The sale price here in Aus is a bit less tempting, but I'd be happy to gift somebody a game in the $7.50 - $10 range for it.
hm so here's the question
Is Alpha Protocol worth 7.50
In a word
YES!
Also anyone think this free give away was sparked by the D2D giveaway as sort of a "Nice try D2D. Now let us show you how it's done"?
While I am sure the D2D giveaway does have something to do with it, I wouldn't really go that far. At least at D2D you have a 20% chance of winning, compared to something like a .02% chance through steam. This giveaway is meant to get people to use the wishlist feature as it will likely increase gift sales during the holiday season.

So I still have this copy of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter chilling around from when I bought the gold pack. Anybody want to trade me a copy of the low-price borderlands for it? :winky:

The comparison isn't really apt at all. With D2D you have to be in the act of buying a game anyway...with Steam, you just have to let them know you want it. One is a contest and one is essentially gambling.
i think this d2d sale is completely ridiculous, stop comparing it to steam...
in this thread i saw two people buy something and both of them felt bad. ive never felt bad about a purchase that steam lured me into.

Oh, beat'd by a page or two.
Just... saying.
So you're saying that a contest is being used to do market research on what games people want? I don't really care, to be honest.

The answer is: What the fuck else are you going to do with $7.50? If you know then go do it.

YES!

:^::^::^:
I don't care too much about the DLC, and I'm sure the pack of it will go on sale during Christmas.
- The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (2017, colorized)
I joke named it. Changed the title now though, since people might actually care about finding it
Lets make a list.
People for 6 pack:
1) Lord Jezo
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
I KISS YOU!
It was worth $35, so yes!
