Watching the videos, I'm seeing what people are talking about when they say that assists get punished more easily now. Saw one assist character lose 2/3 health from a single super without being touched by anything else.
However, I think that will work well with the tradeoff of loads more red health bar for the active character, even if players seem very nearly incapable of switching out a character to get them regenerating something like half of their entire health bar. I keep seeing players with a bar almost completely 50% filled with red, yet they just keep pushing with a tiny sliver of yellow health and end up knocked out. Once people get the hang of it, I hope that means we'll see more tagging instead of people trying to dominate with one single character and a couple of combos the entire match.
As for people disconnecting, the best thing Capcom could do to prevent it from being an epidemic is make it so the game doesn't have 3-4 very-super-ultra-best characters. The only thing which I will ever quit from is when people won't pick anything but the usual super players because they can't be bothered to try and win any other way. On the other hand, I absolutely love when I see people pick some goofy team and manage to kick my ass with loads of style and bizarre tactics.
But so far, I've seen at least one match where a Zero player completely destroys a Magneto player because the Mags player is trying to play like MvC2. I don't think the Zero player lost even a tenth of his health before Magneto went down. If Capcom ends up truly unable to provide decent balance for the game, I would at least like to see a new list of top-tier characters instead of the tired old regulars.
Hype? It may be a local thing. I never used it before I got involved in the scene. Now it's a common part of our discussions. I'm sure other areas have their own catch-phrases.

Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
People post this up in the TN thread all the time, and everyone normally has a good laugh. Especially the VF players.
Actually, the Tekken players here all look like they are on their way to either shoot a rap video, or hold up a liquor store. Strangely enough, the local FGC here is super diverse, which you can tell just by attending a fight night.

The point is that King of Figthers is only really popular in South America for some reason. And a bit in Japan. But they love that shit in South America.
MVC3 Jill is a completely new character (and definitely more along your "acrobatic gun user" track). She's more different and completely re-imagined than any other returning cast-member. She just might be the fastest character in the game, too...

Just getting rid of the zombies isn't that much of a re-imagining. Guessing she's got a complete set of new moves. Her MvC2 moveset isn't that acrobatic, either.

I'm not upset so much because they changed her playstyle/move set, but more so because I hate RE5 Jill and what they did to her in that game in general.
