I had some paperwork for that game I was given with a beta key. Reading through it I got to the part talking about no farming or leveling and the wasd based movement and never installed mostly based on that.

Yeah, it's only a DotA-like in that you have a hero with four skills. Otherwise it's an arena game with no randomness and all skillshots.
It's pretty fun, there just isn't much of a community.
so why is it that in reading this thread, all of you guys are the awesomest players ever but whenever you solo queue, you're stuck on a team with four ridiculous mouth-breathers?
Yeah except at the end of a game it shows you stats. I'm not "overestimating" the guys on my team with 10-15 deaths to my 0-4. I'm not "overestimating" the number of wards I buy and the 0 my teammates buy.
As to the statistical improbability, yes over the long-term a person should end up being matched with people of roughly equal skill. But one person out of 5 or 10 can only tip the scales so much by NOT being useless, whereas a person BEING useless has a far far greater impact. Which means statistically, it could take many many many many games before that proper matchmaking place is reached. And so many of those games will be unenjoyable.
I do hate to sound like a broken record in this thread but there is a simple solution to that problem!
Sigil of Silence: LeBlanc projects an orb towards her target, dealing magic damage and marking the target for 3.5 seconds. If the target takes damage from one of Leblanc's abilities, the mark will trigger, dealing damage and silencing the target.
Distortion: LeBlanc rapidly moves to a target location, dealing magic damage to nearby units. In the following 3 seconds, she can activate Distortion again to return to her starting location.
Ethereal Chains: LeBlanc flings illusionary chains towards a target location. If it hits an enemy unit, it will deal initial magic damage and slow their movement speed by 25%. If the target remains shackled for 2 seconds, the target takes additional magic damage and is unable to move.
Mimic (Ultimate): LeBlanc can cast the previous spell she cast. The mimicked spell deals significantly increased damage. 30 second cooldown.
Mirror Image (Passive): When LeBlanc is brought below 40% health, she instantly becomes stealthed for half a second. When the stealth fades, she creates a Mirror Image that deals no damage and lasts for up to 8 seconds. This can only occur once per minute.

Hmmm.. Distortion seems like it might be neat for towerdiving or going after a lowhealth target behind the lines. Chains seems like Morgana's ult? The rest.. enh doesn't seem that cool to me. And that picture is weird. It's like she's wearing a leotard or something.. well where she isn't naked. Her reflection is missing her eye makeup - is that supposed to signify something?

My favorite conspiracy theory w/r/t Riot is that someone really high up will inevitably slip up and say that replays will be ready by Season 2 - once they realize the corner they've painted themselves into, they'll simply do anything season-related without going forward from one, thus absolving their need to have replays.

tl;dr Lux's passive but actually good since it activates itself on any damage AND silences, Kassadin's ultimate with an instant way back, Morgana's ultimate as a skillshot, instant powered doublecast of said abilities, and half of Shaco's ultimate as a passive.
