    I picked up a stray. He's severely underweight to the point tha the has a hard time getting around. really cuddly dog though.

    I can see why she would get upset at South American, but why Latina? It's like a Chinese guy getting angry at being called Asian.

    there is a strong cultural heritage for alot of mexican people who feel you marginalize mexico by grouping all latin americans together

    All hispanic people feel the same way about their heritage and don't like to be grouped in without taking their cultural diferences into consideration, but I don't think that's the case when you say Latino/a. If what you say is true, we wouldn't be able to call them Hispanic either, that would put them in the same group as other Spanish speakers.

    Thats silly. Theres a strong cultural heritage for Scotland (to name a random European country)... but they are still caucasian.

    I hate these homework projects that are basically, do whatever you want!

    It's for my figure drawing class but we can use any medium and it doesn't even have to be a figure.

    Grumble grumble...I need direction!

    Thats silly. Theres a strong cultural heritage for Scotland (to name a random European country)... but they are still caucasian.

    I guess it's more of a reaction against being defined by belonging to a given group, specially one that encompasses quite different people. Like "Here's my friend McColl. Oh, he's caucasian!"
