Man, I'm very bummed about Leslie Nielson. I pretty much grew up on his comedies, namely Airplane. :(

Not that I've seen, but then again I haven't fucked up a car enough to show any damage, and I've driven into some walls. Hard.

And before anyone asks, yes, with both the premium and stanard cars.

Have you seen Forbidden Planet? It's a serious role for him, but the movie is awesome.

That's kinda lame. I would have thought with all the time they had, that would have been included.

The rest of the game looks impressive though.

Yeah, the game does have a lot of cars. And they all drive different, which is probably the best part. I do like the driving in GT5 over Forza 3, just a little.

I thought the driving feel in Forza 3 was pretty darn good. What sort of difference is there going to GT5? Just better feeling between different cars?

Damn, Empire was always the best. Fuck Leslie too!? Naked Gun was my shit. Bummers.

Also I played GT5 at a friends and it is pretty impressive. The damage modeling is nowhere near Burnout-esqe levels, but when you think about it, it kinda makes sense. I mean, in a lot of the challenges they make you do, if you fuck up and hit some walls, chances are you are not going to place in an event. So technically, doing a bunch of crazy car damage woulda been a waste of developer time, as staying on the road is kinda the point. Its not like San Fransisco Rush or anything.
Damn I love me some San Fransisco Rush.

Also, Tangled!? Good!??! Sometimes my preconceived notions are just too strong, I don't think I can overcome them to see this movie.

Does anyone else, when they find themselves interested in buying something that they've never bought/shopped for before, always make up in their heads what price they believe said item should cost, and inevitably wind up disappointed/shocked/outraged that the actual price is way more than the price that they'd just completely pulled out of their ass seconds prior?

I'd like to think of myself as a logical being, but given my 'reaching conclusions with no data' habit in this instance...well, the data indicates I'm a bit of an idiot in that regard.

Also I'm not that interested in seeing Tangled (too many other movies that I need to catch up on first), but I may be swayed if it turns out to be what I thought it looked like based on the first images, and not what it looked like based on all the subsequent marketing.

Hey guys! Check out this gift I'm getting that I picked out!
    51W7qy4rEfL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

    Retail price: $495.00

    Cyber Monday price: $65.00

It's different, and that's why I like it. Also it's supposed to be expensive, and that makes it cooler. Right?

Yeah, one time I estimated, rather incorrectly, the price to put replacement carpeting in a small room. D:

I wouldn't say it's gaudy, in and of itself, but it does look like something that would be more suited for a 37+ year old just-sub-executive level business man with love handles (but not overweight) that wore a nice suit and just a touch too much cologne every day of his life.

Given that my mental image of you is not quite that- it's more along the lines of a youth wearing jeans and a variety of internet purchased t-shirts with 'clever/funny' images on them, that watch might be a bit much.

If you're a pair of big sunglasses and a thick moustache away from being a villain in a Mexican soap opera, I'm not going to argue with your fashion choices.

What I will argue is that you're undercutting your menace by gloating about the money you saved by buying online, rather than simply taking the watch from a lantern-jawed fellow that had been secretly boning your would-be mistress, whom you had killed via a Datsun pickup filled with short-sleeve shirt wearing goons packing short-barreled revolvers and Tec-9s, and wearing the watch in public as a symbol of your above-the-local-law status.
