Oops! My dad accidentally let it slip that they picked up Enslaved for me in Amazon's Buy 2 Get 1 Free game sale. Knowing one of your Christmas gifts two months in advance is awesome and terrible at the same time.

Wow. Now I want Firefly legos in addition to Bioshock legos.

UV: While he is pretty cool, I think he just picked enslaved randomly from the games on my wishlist that were in the game. He doesn't follow game news and only plays Call of Duty single player campaigns. :P (Though, we do play new Half-Life releases together if that counts. I make him play all of the scary parts since I am a wuss.)

    Dear Secret Santa!
Now that I have this post open to write I feel kinda silly doing it but what the heck. Let me start with some abstract things I like, which means anything related to 'em make for good gifts (as in, it doesn't have to be a video game). I like wolves a lot. Like, the animal. I also like mechs. Giant piloted robots. While the Japanese stuff is cool, I really prefer the western kind of stuff (Mechwarriorrrrrrr). The grittier, the less-refined, the better. And since everyone got chatty about Legos, damn it, I like those too. I'm sort of a big dork for Star Wars but that's been fading with time. Music wise I like 70's / 80's / early-90's rock, and I've been getting into metal lately (of the viking variety; think Turisas).

If my Secret Santa just so happens to be skilled in something (art, music, knitting, etc) I'd totally like a hand-made gift. :3

If you don't want vague suggestions, here's some specific stuff. Starting with a list of what I have on my DSi (not including previously-owned titles I've sold or given away):
Mega Man ZX; Castlevania: DoS, PoR, and OoE; Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice, and Investigations; Monster Rancher DS; Lufia: Curse of the Sinitrals; Super Mario 64 DS; Etrian Odyssey 1, 2, and 3; The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks; Final Fantasy 3; Trauma Center; Advance Wars: DS.
There are a couple specific PC games I could go for despite not being able to play them yet (new PC in my sorta-near-future); Starcraft 2, and Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition. Especially the latter; roomie in Portland had it and I had to move away and never got to finish. New Vegas actually works there too, though it's fresh and new and can wait (especially for fan-mods that can clear up the many issues it has, I guess).

I don't own any current gen consoles (I did have a PS3 but that's elsewhere now, long story).

Mystery Science Theater 3000 stuff are also on my specific-wish-list needs.

Alternative: Forumers you can ask about me since they know me fairly well (I dunno if they'll appreciate me volunteering them but what the hell):
    Raijin Quickfoot
    ceres
    Rent

Merry Christmas to you and I hope you end up with sweet swag from your own Secret Santa! :3

What's the full bleach story? I've only heard references to it here and there. Did someone just send you a bottle of bleach? Was it a forum regular, someone new, or a low-post lurker? Did they get banned for being a turd? (Or was the hiccup that the bleach was only one item in the package and the post office withheld the whole thing?)

Fake edit: Possibly nevermind. Doc Holliday is on the job. :P Can you also pull up the halo and beef jerky post if you can find it?

Long story short - A gift was sent, it was intercepted by customs, opened, had the item replaced by a bottle of bleach, and was continued on its merry postal way.

I ended up getting gifts, but it wasn't the same as getting what I assume would have been an 8-ball of subsidized Canadian cocaine.

That's just weird. I had no idea customs could swap items they don't like with something random. I figured that they would just seize the package or item. Though I guess if they leave a gaping hole in the box, they'd have to fill it back up.. but you'd think they would use packing peanuts or bubble wrap. Not bleach.

when they're stealing something from the box they need to make sure it weighs about the same as it did before

I doubt it's as bad in Canada, but when I was in Brazil customs people would steal stuff all the time and replace it with random but weighty items.

So I signed up for this as well, first time for me. One note is that my job sometimes prevents me from posting and I work 14ish hours a day. So, I've compiled some research for my Santa to make it easy for you. No stalking required!

Games and Series I like: Mega Man 2 & 9, Resident Evil 4 & 5, FFVII, FFX, FF Tactics, Otogi, Halo, Naruto, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Super Street Fighter IV, Assassin's Creed, Monster Hunter, God of War, Uncharted, Okami, Muramasa, Breath of Fire IV, NINJAS, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo, Mushishi, The Twelve Kingdoms, Scrapped Princess, Basilisk, Fate Stay Night, the book series A song of Ice and Fire, etc. I'll edit this as I think of more.

My favorite series right now is SSFIV. I main Vega (claw), Bison, and Adon.

I don't need any games, I can afford all the games that come out each year that I want as well as all the anime series I mentioned above. What I do love are unique figures, artbooks, interesting merchandise, etc. I own the artbooks for Breath of Fire IV and a song of ice and fire as well as all the books released. I have a few figures here and there, but more are always welcome. I'm not a big fan of comics at all.

Hope that saves some time. Cheers!

    Moar editz!

I own all the systems, console and handheld. I love Star Wars, Invader Zim, Dissidia, Radiohead, Baltimore Ravens, (more to come). Tasteless gifts are welcome, and quite honestly, expected. No food allergies.

No true don't discourage people like that. I always thought that stalking is optional rather than mandatory. I think it's perfectly fine to send your Santee presents that are not necessarily in line with the stuff they usually get as long it's something you think they'd enjoy.
