When I'm looking for something sweet / desserty I go for Amaretto on ice - Disaronno is delicious, but very sweet.
My wife is pretty much the same with sweet drinks, she's expanded into Rye and Ginger, or Rye and Coke, but mostly sticks to the Porn Stars and similar type drinks.
Oh yes, and Schnapps... Dr. McGillicuddy is my bane! It's like the crack cocaine of alcohol. It's so candy-like you don't even know you are drinking until you can't stand up.

Pink Squirrels, Grasshoppers, and Brandy Alexanders are all the same drink with one ingredient changed. They're all sweet and all pretty tasty. Very classic too.
My favorite drink involving beer is called a Snakebite. It's 1/2 cider and 1/2 lager. I tend to use Harp. Layer them, so fill the glass with half of one then half of the other. The cider really takes the edge off the beer and the whole thing actually tastes great. It isn't a dessert drink by any means, but it is good for just sipping on.

Along the same vein, kinda, is putting a shots worth of Vanilla Stoli into a pint of Guinness. Smooth and tasty.
El Dolce's amaretto is pretty good. And a easy recipe called an Afterwork Amaretto. One 1 oz light cream and amaretto mixed and add a tiny bit of powdered cocoa to the top. Goes down nicely when you get home from a long day.

Watermelon Puckers and Sprite. I suck at drinking- I too can usually only dealw ith super sweet "girly" drinks. Also vanilla vodka in rootbeer/cream soda/orange soda, possibly with a bit of cream.
I've just found the drinks menu for Ta Bouche, an amazing cocktail bar in Cambridge: try some of these.
My personal favourites are the Bramble and the Dark & Stormy. They also do a Harlem Mugger, which is like a Long Island Iced Tea but topped with sparkling wine instead of cola.
reminds me that not too recently I got drunk using.....
Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea Vodka mixed with lemonade. Yeah an alcoholic version of an Arnold Palmer has already been mentioned, but it is a good mix. And super sweet.

Yes. The Wetherspoons near me has just started selling these, and it's the only reason I would go into a Wetherspoons.
There is also an Italian wine kind of sweet called Riunite (Lambrusco, White, etc.)
If you go with Riunite get the Lambrusco. It's just awseome wine that's cheap and has a screw on top. The white and the third one they make aren't as tasty. Most supermarkets carry Riunite.
Has anybody mentioned Lambic fruit and kriek beers yet?

On the subject of mead: I've found Lindisfarne to the the sweetest, to the point that it's quite sickly. Drinking it half and half with soda takes the edge off.
My favourite mead is Drunken Monk Tournament; rich and hearty, and 14% ABV.
A mai tai made inside of a fresh pineapple is both sweet and delicious. As well as having alcohol soaked pineapple left over afterwards, for a tastey treat.

This!
Also, sailor jerry rum and coke just tastes like slightly alcoholic vanilla coke. Yum.
Lime juice makes most things great. Gin or vodka gimlets (easy recipe: 2 shots liquor, 1 shot Rose's lime juice)
Southern Comfort 2 parts, lime juice 1 part
Vodka tonic with lime, alcoholic sprite basically.
For beer: Berry Weiss or Wild Blue (if you want to double the alcohol).
Ciders: Strongbow is my favorite. Some people like Woodpecker or some apple pear ciders.
Be very careful with Southern Comfort. The shit is basically flavored rotgut, and you'll get sick on it faster than you will most anything else.

Mead and soda doesn't sound very good. Try a cheap and dry champagne.

There are a lot of already sweet dessert liquors... stuff like Disarono, etc.
if you want interesting, try the Godiva Chocolate liquor over vanilla ice cream
They have Godiva Chocolate Liquor?! Oh my god.
They have Godiva Vodka now. There was a tasting at my liquor store during my last shop. It was pretty good. Might go well with an egg cream and soda.
ooooooo! I do sort of a quasi egg cream/russian drink around xmas with vodka, Kahlua, pepsi and egg nog. yeah I know the ingredients aren't egg cream, but the end result can taste like one especially if you leave the vodka out. But flavored Godiva Vodka may just make the mix that much more diabetic inducing awesome.
Are you supposed to mix it?! Cause all I'd want to do with that drink is mix it and destroy the levels of delicious and combine them into one.
As an aside, if you love grenadine you can VERY easily make your own.
1 cup pomegranate juice (e.g. POM) + 1 cup sugar, shaken until dissolved = better than any store-bought grenadine you've ever had.
2 limes (firm, smooth skins; thin skins cuts down on the chance of bitterness)
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. cold water
1 c. malibu rum
3 Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk (optional)
Mix sugar and water.
Wash limes thoroughly, cut the limes into 8ths.
Add sugar water, malibu and limes into your blender, PULSE 3-5 times. Place a fine-mesh strainer over your serving container and pour the blended mixture through the strainer and into the pitcher. Use a spoon to press the rest of the liquid out of the pulp. Throwaway the pulp.
Optional: Add sweetened condensed milk.
Serve over Ice
Notes:
If you add the condensed milk this doesn't keep well, so either mix in the milk in each individual drink or plan on drinking it all in one evening amongst friends etc.
I haven't had problems with this drink being bitter, but my friends have problems making this drink. I've noticed that they either blend the mixture too long or pick limes with thick rinds. If you pick a lime with a thick rind just peel of parts of the rind.
Also you might have missed the season on this one, because I find it's more of a summer drink.
If you want to make it more coconutty substitute one cup of water w/ coconut milk.

Oh. Psh.
Get you a hard apple cider.
Problem. Solved.
Someone recommend the best brand of amaretto for me? I didn't see any specific recommendations on that.
Currently painting: Slowly [flickr]
Luxardo Amaretto is without a doubt the best. Disaronno pales in comparison.
Green Creme de Menthe, Baileys and Milk
Shaken and over ice.
or
After Eights
1/2 and 1/2 Creme de Cacao and Kahlua
or
Mountain Dew
1/2 oz Amaretto, 1/2 oz Melon Liqueur
1 oz Lime Juice
Top off with 7up.
or
Banana Popsicle
Creme de Banane (1/2 oz)
Vanilla Vodka (1/2 oz)
7 Up
or
Cream Soda
4/10 oz Creme de Banane
4/10 oz Melon Liqueur
2/10 oz Amaretto
2 oz Cranberry Juice
4 oz 7 Up
Just going to leave this here. It's pretty relevant. And funny.

I find lambics kind of sickening, but my husband loves them. The kind he likes are a bit on the expensive side, though.

it is Blue Raspberry Vodka and Crangrape juice
Drink it

Crangrape? YES!
I'm going to be testing most of these drinks on Halloween while watching "The Walking Dead", and creepy movies!
Check out my art! Buy some prints!
Chocolate liquor and chocolate liqueur are two very different things. You're wanting the latter.

And the drink that got me into drinking?
Paralyzers.
Milk, 2 shots Kaluha, 1 shot vodka & a splash of cola.
Or, that's how I make 'em. Varies from place to place.
Seconding this. The Black Cherry lambic is like drinking candy.
we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other
