I used lancers to kill the radiators....

    Are scouts more effective?

I'll give it a go in a couple of hours.

You want to use lancers to knock the guns off the side as fast as you can, and you have the scouts climb up the ladders on the side to throw grenades in the radiators to kill them

And sorry Jacques but I don't really remember the second jaeger fight

Really as long as you don't care about the grade too much (which you probably shouldn't on the first playthrough), just use a LOT of orders, especially the take less damage one as you run around, and you should do alright

Firefly/Serenity. Just watched all of it on Blu-Ray and holy shit it was a blast.

Started watching Caprica and was blown away by the whole universe so I started watching the Battlestar Galactica remake and now my free time is devoted exclusively to consuming that.

I was pretty late to Half-Life 2 I guess. Still haven't played through Episode 2.

Just don't watch the last two minutes and it's still okay. It certainly went in a direction I wouldn't have chosen, but I was okay with it all except that very last retarded scene.

I was starting to tune it out long before it actually happened, but the All Along the Watchtower scene was basically my cue to peace out

Really the only fond memory I have of the show post-Pegasus is
when they jump into orbit during the rescue towards the start of season 3

That was admittedly awesome, but still not worth the effort

My brother is going to play through Blood Omen and Soul reaver and I have to help him.

I had to cheat through Blood Omen.

I got up to Vorador's Mansion and went "fuck it" and ended up putting in the health cheat like twice a minute.

    Yes, yes I would.

But this thread is for talking about being late to the party, not for the actual being late. ;-)

I'm enjoying it so far. The first season was some pretty quality television. I've seen the first two episodes of season two now and I'm not really "feeling it" as much as the first but I'm going to see it out and stick with it.

Firefly... what the fuck happened there? That easily had two or three seasons of material.

Alright, thanks all the same. Using orders is something I tend to forget, so I'll drop some CP into that and see.

Up until Firefly I had never seen or heard of Joss Whedon. Even after Firefly, I have no desire to see anything else he's done (except maybe Dollhouse... not sure yet). I don't "get" the worship for him. I rate Firefly highly but that's about as far as my respect for him goes.

Seriously Angel gets so good. It is Joss Whedon's best show.

It is no coincidence that the point where Angel gets amazing is when Lorne first shows up.

I just played some of Blood Omen 2 yesterday (I haven't played anything else in the series) and honestly it controls like crap. It feels like I'm playing a JRPG that's trying to shoehorn an action sequence into the game and has no idea how to do so.

Is this the odd one out, or am I not going to like Soul Reaver either?

EDIT: I still have not seen a single episode of X-Files.

I did that actually. I thought the whole thing was really dumb after watching a little of it back in middle school, and ignored it for a long time. I was in my second or third year of college when I saw an episode of it again and realized it was supposed to be a comedy.

I just thought one piece and a few other of those things could use a little more episodic content.

I don't like huge setups for what amounts to a comedy anime. As good as DBZ is I really never watch past the Buu saga.

Simply put, there are four wrong Legacy of Kain games you could have started with, and you started with the wrongest.

The only correct order in which to play these games is the order they came out in: Blood Omen 1, Soul Reaver 1, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, Defiance. Of these, Blood Omen 2 is the most eminently skippable as it has almost no consequence on the rest of the plot, and is a terrible terrible game on top of it, but you should still play it when you get to that point because it's basically all there to explain the ending to Soul Reaver 2.

All the other games in the series play just fine (well, BO1 is a little stiff and it has terrible loading times, but if you can bear with that plus unbelievably shitty CG cut-scenes, it's basically required reading as the set-up for everything that comes after).
