Ok, so that Vox log was pretty epic. I loved it and I couldn't wait to dig this thing out! It's even cooler than I expected!
I know these pictures aren't the best at all, but I promise I will have Altmann over with his camera soon so we can get awesome quality pics :P Also, cause I know he is going to want to see it in person :P (And probably borrow the models for his Guard army :P)
Tim, this thing is so cool! Ayana even said we can display it in the living room! Cause "it's tasteful and not just a sea of grey".
The Pred is sweet too! I know I made a post a bit ago about how I needed another since my magnipred hasn't been used as any of the other things it can be, cause its always just a pred now :P So, this thing is going to get a ton of use!

Re the packaging: It was pretty solid man. You were right about what you said in the note... SO STRONG MAGNETS. Most of them decided that they wanted to be attached to each other, forcing the models off of them :P Couple of guys were 100% okay, just needed to be reattached to the base. Sarge lost his gun hand, and the marine lost his arm. One of the sponsons on the pred started to snap along the line where mine HAVE ALWAYS SNAPPED, so I reinforced it a little. No major issues at all, and all was fixed in not even 5 minutes.

That's, uh, not the only thing headed your way. I had to order from two separate places, the Vanquisher just happened to ship a couple days earlier than the...well, that would be telling, wouldn't it? ;-)
To be completely honest, that's what I do when I'm buying stuff myself. I'll happily spend money on "Looks cool but kind of sucks" long before I spend money on "great on the table but looks terrible". And hey, the vanquisher has a gun that can launch a 4" aoe with a 10 inch range (give or take for deviation), and I don't think anyone's ever complained about long range flame throwers. Well, except possibly the people on the receiving end, but I don't think they count.
Yay! Glad you like it! I was worried you may already have it, but when you said fun party games I figured it was worth the risk. If you have never played, it strikes a nice middle ground between thematic, strategy and simple mechanics, which makes it real easy for anyone to pick up an play! And with all the combinations of haunts, no two games should be alike for quite awhile!
Hope you have fun betraying your friends and watching them all drown/flee your vampire bats/dance to death/ etc.

I love the Protectorate Redeemers, it's actually the jack that got me interested in the PoM, so it's always cool to have another missile launcher on the table.
Definitely the way to start a new year off.
A few days ago I received a package from Amazon that had the Black Goat of the Woods Arkham Horror expansion, and I just got caught up and didn't get a chance to post here. But apparently that was for the better, because today, when I got home from work, there was a second box waiting for me that contained Curse of the Dark Pharaoh!
Now my Arkham Horror Collection is nearly complete!
