Any word on how many hours of credits-content were recorded? We've been listening to the full things every time so far, with only one repeat (the holy vitamin water). Fucking hilarious.
I recognized some ads from previous games, so not all of it is new content.
a lot of old ads can play during the "green room" sequence at the beginning
the ads that play while the credits roll are all new, though

Does "Ye Olde Booze Shope" make a return?
"Slurring yer speech since seventeen seventy six"
So my girlfriend, while in Wal-Mart tonight out of the blue has told me that she wants the DS version of the game...I didn't even know that she was interested.
So, if I were to get a console version for us to play, would I be best served with the Wii or 360?

a> Will you be playing online with anyone?
b> Do you have 4 wii-motes or 4 360 controllers (SceneIt big button controllers work, and even show answers in the verticle format) and would you expect to be using them all at the same time?
c> Do you want download content?
The 360 version is superior to the Wii version in that it is the same price and will allow using Microsoft Pointmonies to download additional questions. I believe it has been decided that this isn't an option on the Wii?

a) Probably not. Party games like this don't really translate to online well do they?
b) I have three remotes and three 360 pads. I'd prefer to buy a 4th Wii remote, however, as I've played that local multiplayer but I don't think I've ever played the 360 local multiplayer.
c) Download content is something I generally don't deal with, and on top of that I don't know if I'd ever even get through what's on the disc...

I agree, party games are for local situations, unless you have friends in remote locations with a 360. ( I move a lot, so I have friends all over the world I keep in touch with through the 360. Something like this would be a ton of fun with them. )
It's not like it's splitscreen for the 360 (or the Wii). It's one screen and everyone buzzes in their answer at the same time. How fast you buzz in determines how much money you win (or lose) so answering later is helpful. I haven't tested it yet, but does not answering at all take 0 dollars away from you?
It sounds like you may in fact be serviced well by the Wii version.
I bought the 360 version, just FYI.

Yeah I have maybe a dozen 360 friends, only one of them I actually know in real life, and I don't play the 360 enough to have a "usual gang" of friends or anything.
c) Download content is something I generally don't deal with, and on top of that I don't know if I'd ever even get through what's on the disc...
Yeah, this is something that occurred to me as well. Playing the game over 73 times seems... unlikely*. Even if you play 100 times you've only seen repeat questions a little over 25% of the time.
*Until I decide to go back and catch the Wrong Answers of the Game I have missed... which right now is all three, but I identified two of them after the fact.

Even without the online play and DLC, the support for the Scene It controllers is enough to say you need to get the 360 version if possible.
It's a gameshow-style trivia game. You can't play those without gameshow-style buzzers. If you're planning on ever playing this in a party setting, it's even more awesome to be able to pass around those buzzers between rounds than the giant gamepads.
It's worth the price for the four buzzers alone, but the game isn't half bad either, for a movie trivia game. You can also find the controllers themselves used for like 10 bucks.
Hmm. Is there a complete list of which games use those controllers?
Edit: According to Google there's a Sears nearby that might have a copy of Scene It for $30. I doubt it's right but I'm tempted to swing by anyway...hmm.

I want some too (now!). But while my Google says Sears has these controllers, sears.com says they're discontinued. Anyone know another good retail source?
Yeah, the fun of Dis or Dat is being shocked when the categories come up, going "This'll be easy!" or "Haha, now that I think about it, there are things in both those categories that are kind of similar" and then you have more trouble than you thought you would. That's somewhat negated if you know what'll pop up ahead of time.
Okay, checked the local Sears that Google said might have "Limited Stock" on the way home from work. Looked all over the electronics department with no luck, was a bit bummed, but then I realized it was a sign that it just wasn't meant to be.
...then on the way out, in a lone glass case away from the rest of the gaming stuff, there it was, a lone "Box Office Smash" Scene It bundle, tagged at $59.99. Grabbed a clerk, asked her to check it, and sure enough, it was $29.99, so I bought it. I figured, eh, why not, only $5 more than Amazon and I get to have it tonight.
Then I stopped by Best Buy to pick up YDKJ so I could use my $5 RZ Certificate.
Then I grabbed some Quizno's and headed to my sister's place. Her, her husband and I must have gone through 10 rounds or so. Alot of fun.
Then I popped in Scene It. What a piece of horseshit. Alot of good I am good at answering these questions when I've never seen these movies. That shit's going up on Goozex by the end of the week.
I'm gonna have to see what else uses the "Big Button Controller" so I don't feel like I spent $30 on some controllers that only work on one game.

Well, I guess a movie trivia game isn't any good if you don't watch too many movies. They were pretty easy from what i remember, but I watch a LOT of movies.
Like tonight, Cameron's Sanctum put my fiancee to sleeP in the theatre three times. Not watching trailers really bites me in the ass sometimes. I thought Sanctum was gonna be about cavers finding crazy life beneath the earth's crust or something. It's not. Just 3D caves.
I still don't know how the "Wrong Answer of the Game" works.
Edit: So my research says that outside of the Scene It titles "Uno" and some game called "Wits and Wagers" both work with the pads. Uno I have, but I'll have to look into Wits and Wagers.
The search continues...supposedly Uno Rush as well but I can't quite seem to confirm that.
There's an example in the manual. Basically, find a wrong answer somewhere in the episode that corresponds to the sponsor. So, and I'm completely making this up, if the sponsor was "Tron John's Digital Fish Sticks", and you found a question with a wrong answer of "Binary Bass", selecting it would net you a fictional prize and a hunk of cash.
It's all about paying attention for something that might be related to the theme.
I'm completely baffled by the love for the scene it controllers in this thread, i've been playing with 360 controllers and I can't see the button being..well..bigger, making any difference at all ?

If you only happen to own 1 360 controller... and you want to play with 3 other friends... 20 to 30 bucks is far cheaper than 150 bucks for 3 more controllers.

There's a post on facebook from them asking people about their favorite segues. 6 is a robot appears to be the front runner. My favorites are 6 and 10. But yodel-eh-hee-2 is probably 3rd. I finally saw 2's alternate today and rolled around on my couch laughing with my wife. The 2 doesn't even show up after that! I've seen 6's a few times. I don't recall any of the others off hand.
If anyone ends up posting them, could you spoiler them please?

One of the wrong answers in the episode will have something to do with the episode's sponsor.
As an example, I'm going to go ahead and spoil the one from the first episode:
The wrong answer of the game appeared during the question about the crucible.
It was "Cat's Cradle".
Get it?
How many episodes are included in each? Are DLC episodes available for each?
73 episodes in each. 25-30 minutes per episode
