I've been a bit under the weather lately, (including sleeping through most of Saturdays Halloween party... sorry Teeny)

*tear* The whole PAX'ers dynamic was thrown off, way to go! Hope you feel better :)

Facebook tells me that The Lord of the Rings trilogy is playing at The Rio:
The Rio Theatre presents the complete LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy. Sunday November 14, 2010, beginning at 1:30pm. All THREE of Peter Jackson's flim adaptations of the JRR Tolkien classics will be shown in 35mm. See one movie for $8, two for $12 or all three for $15.

Also, Body Worlds is on at science world again if anyone is interested in that.

I'd be down for LOTR too.

Para: no, we'll get tickets when we get there. We should probably show up 20 or so min early.

Cuz I'm really starting to get the impression that fishbowls would be a requirement. o_O

depends on if he's talking about a midnight showing or not. I dunno though, even on Friday, we'd have to be there like hours in advance to avoid crappy seating.

if people are going to fishbowls first I'm in, but i'm pretty iffy on harry potter when it doesn't involve shots and pwnies though.... :P

I will be unable to make the planetarium tomorrow night. :( super sucky, but I'm sure everyone else will have a blast :D

Danneh has alternate plans as well.

:( I have to cancel on the planetarium too. I was screamingly reminded of a previous engagement that I had originally committed to this weekend. I thought I could split my time but it seems I cant.

Oh yeah, the Harry Potter thing sounds good to me.

perfect! I'm excited. its usually a good crowd. Since I'm south a little bit (Bellingham), what would be the best theatre? Midnight showing would be cool, but I'm guessing that this would be on thursday (midnight friday) instead of friday. It might conflict with some having work/school in the morning.

Either way, we'd be in line for a bit. Cthulu dice and Set would be great to play while waiting.

Not that early, it's a planetarium, not a hockey game. So going with what smalllady said, probably 20 minutes beforehand would be fine. I declare 6:40 to be the time.

I think you meant to link this since yours was for "Friday" shows, when the midnight showing is listed on thursday :)

Either way, I'm definitely not going to a midnight showing of it, and probably won't be going the first week either. I don't care nearly enough about Harry Potter to fight the crowds. Will probably see it at some point in theatre though.

Oh yup, wrong link. thanks for catching that. Yah the crowds will be there, but it'll be exciting and a group of people playing games before hand in line would be somewhat fun.

I enjoy going to the theatre for the experience, otherwise I'll watch it on my home theater system =P

Fogg and Suds on the 26th, followed by the late showing of Potter?

There's also a 'Nucks game so our puck discounts will apply. :winky:
